WRAP UP (well maybe unwrapped is more appropriate since we're after Christmas :p) The turnout was pretty good toward the end. I'm pretty happy about how things went. Here's how the game played out: Scores at the half: 1st: DNA :: 15 points 2nd: Ace :: 5 points 3rd: Dare234 :: 3 points 4th: Cherrygrove :: 2.5 points 5th: ChillBill :: 2 points You could call the winner by half time but the run for 2nd place was pretty tight. I was surprised that everyone managed to get more than one point. The rest were pretty close together. I earned 0.5 points for each question nobody could answer. Final Scores: 1st place: DNA :: 27 points (wins 500 Psybucks and +o in the next game I host) 2nd place: TonberryKing :: 12 points (passed on prizes) 3rd place: Ace :: 6 points (wins 250 Psybucks) 4th place: (tie) Dare234, Cherrygrove :: 4 points (Dare234 wins 100 Psybucks) 6th place: ChillBill :: 3 points 7th place: DragonPhoenix :: 1 point DNA won again with 27 points (being frozen 5 times in total ;o). TonberryKing and DragonPhoenix joined in at the half. TK certainly gave DNA a run for his money, both earning 12 points. Ace managed to stay ahead of the rest to get third place, it still being rather close. Everybody earned a point in the second half. Good job everyone! After Trivia there was bonus Minute Madness but I guess I made it too hard and everyone got 0 points :x. These are only given to some staff and others who have won the status in previous games. How will typos be dealt with? If they are not too bad I will accept them. This will be subject to my discretion but I will try to be consistent. What happens to rule-breakers? Loss of all points in the game, loss of all Psybucks on the offender's forum account, and permanent bans from #psypoke, #PsypokeTrivia, the forums, the main site, and the internet forever. To use the java chat applet on the site you will need to have Java installed. Try using it to get onto #psypoke. If you have any problems getting connected you can tell me here. Alternatively you can download mIRC and connect to the server using that. If you choose to do that and need help getting into the channel, ask here. |

You will only be frozen for one question. -if you do attempt to answer a question while frozen, you will be penalized one point. Question, if someone is frozen, attempts to buzz in, and then immediately realizes his/her mistake and says "Wait, no, frozen, disregard" (or something like that), does s/he still get penalized anyway? Either way, I understand, I agree, I will be ready. |

Next time, whenever that may be (perhaps in February?), would you guys prefer a Trivia or a Jeopardy? The difference is that Trivia requires knowledge and the ability to type quickly whereas Jeopardy requires knowledge and luck. Also in Jeopardy you lose points for incorrect answers. It doesn't matter to me because I have scripts ready for both from past games and it will take equal effort to come up with the questions. |
