English - What is your name?

Japanese - あなたの名前は何ですか?

Spanish - ¿Cuál es su nombre?

French - Quel est votre nom?

Swedish - Vad är ditt namn?

Greek - Ποιο είναι το όνομά σου;

Vietnamese - Tên của bạn là gì?

Italian - Qual è il tuo nome?

LETS ALL BE SAD ABOUT OUR NAMES TOGETHER

So, I know this thread was made before, but its 6 feet under... And I can't be bothered breaking my back to dig it up. I'm not pressuring anyone to say their names.

Here you can post what your name is, hint at it, and/or explain what it means or its origin.

I will start with a scandalous bombshell that no one will give a :censored: about.

My name is...

...

...

...

...

Lachlan

I know, I know, everyone will be talking about it for years, but, I might as well announce it now while I still can. Oh and if anyone cares, PM if you want to know why I use James86134 for every single username that has ever existed.

It's name from Germany or something, dunno.

My middle name is Bertrand. Dafuq is this, I dunno, I don't use it.

Tyler Jacob Wiedemann.
Wiedemann is a name that descends from Dutch nobleman. Coincidentally, that same noble family also had relatives in colonial Pennsylvania, where most of my father's family is from.

And...now I feel pressured to put my entire name:

Lachlan Oscar Tolomeo

Lachlan... I actually don't know... I think its... I don't know if its Universal or Irish or something...

Oscar, because... My dad wanted to be a narcissist and continue a 'Family Tradition' that had only lasted two generations... Then crashed and burned...

Tolomeo is Italian. I am also, 1/4 Italian.

Yay me!

Also, I was actually going to post that you only had to put your first name up -.- I kind of forgot...

My name is Nancy Elizabeth Skyles. Not that anybody really cares.
I always liked my name, especially because my initials are NES.

William Ian Igor?

Or Xavier Boris Oscar (because I must keep the tradition  ) Xemp

Or maybe
Poe Leonard Alex Yving Samuel Timothy Adam Thomas Ian Oscar (Again, )

... Seriously though, having the same initials as something you actually like is awesome. I get LOT... And I'm totally obsessed with Parking Lots, Real Estate Lots, Lots of Lots... And all kinds of lots...

I'm also very obsessed with rolling my eyes this post. Yay.

Also, as it turns out, my name does originate from Irish History... Apparantly. So Lachlan (Irish) Oscar (Stubborness) Tolomeo (Italian)

... I really need to go to sleep and stop checking this thread so I can be every third post...

I once pondered changing my name to initials that spell out a word, but then I ran out of really good ideas really fast.

My name became DNA when I was 12; I was at a sports group and we were all pretty much new guys. I wore a DNA-themed shirt (specifically this one) to the place for 2 weeks straight, since I just got the shirt and loved it so much. No one could ever remember my name, so they just called me DNA. It has stuck, ever since then, no matter where I go.

I still have the original shirt, but it is old, faded, and has a few holes in it. More recently I got a new one, but I got 3 smallish holes in it soon after I got it, from unknowingly splashing some 18M sulfuric acid on it and later having it go through the wash. It really ticked me off since I hadn't had the shirt for very long, but I now consider it a badge of honor.

And now you all know where I buy all my t-shirts from.

I thought we **** banned this ****! This looks like Krisp's fault.

Matthew. MPS. Matthew Preston. My older brother named me. He was four; my mom thought it was cute.

My dad wanted to name me Xerxes. I probably would've been made fun of a lot, until I was 16.

PS In a lot of languages, they say, "What are you called?" rather than, "What is your name?"

Comment tu t'appelle?
¿Como te llamos?
Wie heißt du?
