I have read alot good ideas here like the berry stand, more gyms, and better moves for underused types. I have some subtle ideas though not earth shattering in gamplay might be good.
1. Pokemon powers should be individualized. has cloud nine nine and noone else does.
2. Along the same lines Sturdy and rockhead should be one power not 2. (just doesn't make sense to me a pokemon can survive a OHKO move bu takes recoil damage from moves like takedown)
3. Reorder the pokedex so that evo chains are together. is not so far from the list as or
4. Better ways to search for pokemon on the pokedex. (though they took steps in the right direction in FR and LG)

And to echo everyoneelse NO NINTENDO EVENTS!!!!!!!

I'd like more evolutions of non-evolving or two-step-evolution pokemon like Skarmory and Vulpix. Skarmory is a kind of strong Pokemon as-is, but an evolution would make it a lot stronger.

Id want a longer quest for games, like in g/c, how you could go to Johto and Kanto. They could at LEAST give us a ticket to the actual Kanto and Johto regions.

1. A GBA pokemon game that is set in johto.
2. More Tm's.
3. A way to get Celebi on GBA.
4. A Tm shop were all the Tm's can be bought and Tm's cost 10x the amount they can be sold for, eg: sell Solar beam for 1500, buy it for 15000.(its gotta come at a price)
5. A place to buy Moon stones and Sun stones.
6. Smarter trainers.
7. Stronger trainers.
8. The ability to choose someone that you beat in battle to follow you.
9. More multi types, eg: Fire/Electric.
10. More stuff to do after the E4.
11. Able to Travel between Johto, Kanto, Hoenn

Thats all i can think of at the moment.

Hmm... I'll try to limit myself to things that wouldn't be impossible to program or make the game too easy ^_^

1. More moves that affect the bench, a la Aromatherapy. And if you can heal your whole team, it's only fair that you should be able to damage/inflict status on the pokemon on the bench too. Of course, maybe that makes switching pointless, so such moves should still be low PP and/or highly inaccurate.
2. On that note, I think it would be cool to have moves that do "trample damage." If you KO your opponent's pokemon, the remaining damage carries over to the next one he sends out. That way it's not such a kick in the head when you have to waste another power point to take off the last sliver of HP. Like rollover minutes ^_^ But maybe he could still get around it by sending out someone with immunity or something.
3. More pokemon that learn different moves if you cancel their evolution. This would reward the trainers who actually take time battling with a weaker pokemon.
4. I for one don't think there should be more move slots. It would destroy the art of making a good moveset. I think it makes the game too easy.
5. I can't resist... A Sableye evolution! I would love to see more of my favorite pokemon of all time, and I wish he would actually have semi-decent stats. Right now I don't think his good typing makes up for it, but if he was just a little stronger he'd be awesome!
6. An event where you battle alongside your rival in a 2v2! Even though he's your rival, I think they can still be friends. Especially in RSE, where they get along pretty well. May even acts like she might have a crush on the boy character. Anyway, it would be cool since his/her starter complements yours. For that matter, I think it would be cool to have more "true double battles" period. I know there are some in Emerald, but I'd like more of them. ^_^
7. And while I'm on the subject, I wish you could battle 2 on 1 in link battles. If you wanted to be fair, have each of the 2 send out up to 3 of their pokemon, while the other person sends out up to 6. In the end it's almost the same thing, and it would allow you to play if you only have 3 people.

Im sorry if someoen already said these.. but i think its kool if you have a watch to keep time and change when you want...night n day...someitmes it rains, so difrent pokemon come out..and snow too, ect.also able to connect to the old games like ruby/saphire ect.

It will also be cool if you could just send pokemon and items from one game to another withot having to trade.

To have a special repel that only repels the pokeon that you have. Also will be cool to have a ball factory in which you make your own pokeball (if you want it strong you pay extra and you can change its looks).

And if pokemon "selfhealed" gradually inside their balls like in the anime, we wouldn't need a town every 5 minutes of walking. We could have larger areas.
And you could kind of choose if you would be a good trainer or an evil ruthless one (simular to your rival on GSC). Not sure how they would pull this off, but then we won't have the "you're the greatest trainer who ever lived" come so automatically.
And like you always did, one npc alone in the field can battle 2 on 2 with you instead of 2 NPC's having to be there.
HM's should not be in the game. I think it should be like this: A Blastoise for example, he can ferry you across water. (He could still know the move surf). It depends on the size of the pokemon. Another one: A Pidgey can't fly you anywhere because of the small size. And simular. Still, if you do get a big enough pokemon early in the game, the move would still be restricted by not having that specific badge, and the pokemon haven't learned it yet.

Yep Day and Night rules, and random weather would rule.
More shopping towers, in most of the games only 1 town has a department store!
No Nintendo events, they really suck.
You should be able to get a job, e.g Paper round.

What I've really come to hate, besides the Nintendo Events, is that you have to have every single game which ever has come to the Advance system to get them all.. Couldn't it be sufficient to just capture everyone between 2 games instead of 10?

you should be able to control yerself when u use fly, dig. You should be able to go slanted, just so you dont have to walk so much. What pokemon master! said i dis agree with. The mini-games would be fun, but there should stll be humans. A few more natures would be nice. the starters should have a sig move. there should be at least 4 different bikes,
and you should be able to get them as you go on.Here is how i put it:
When you first see the option of gettin bikes you get a mach bike or a acro bike. After you get 5 badges, you get the Grand bike, which lets you
go through thick grass, but has no wheelies and no speed. Then at the end of Victory Road when u beat yer rival, 1 of proffesors aids gives you the Dynamic bike, which does all 3. : ) Also you should have family. Grandpa grandma, stuff like that. It should be more like the anime.

I never watch the anime, so I was curious about how the Orange Islands adventure went.

I'd like to see them some day make an Orange version, with the Orange Islands adventure. I'm suprised they haven't made one yet o.o

I don't see why four different bikes are needed, but I agree with you, RukarioManiac, that there should be other family members such as grandparents and siblings. It's pretty boring when your character always has a mom and a dad, that's all.

I dont like cheating on games. It feels wrong. Also, shouldnt there be cars? I mean, everything is so advanced. You can put these creatures into little balls. I doubt every one walks from country to country. there should be people who give you rides, and stuff. Heh, it would be funny if there were boats. No more surf.

I hope remeber in crystal how the pokemon moved i hope they do that again
