I have a shiny Magikarp from my EV training, and a few others that where on my corrupted Gold save file, the only one I remember is a Zubat.

Lets see..

I think I found a pink Butterfree in silver. And I suppose the red Gyarados that you find in the middle of the lake doesn't really count, huh... Well, 4 games, 2 replayed, probably 150 hours of total play time, and all I have to show for it is one so-so shiny in a game that I can't find that's not compatible with wi-fi. =/ Well, I'm currently soft resetting trying for a Mewtwo in Fire Red, if I'm lucky I'll get him before the world ends in 2012.

Does the red gyarados from the lake of rage count? If not, then it's just raticate, ponyta, and pichu.

So ... I guess this is where I GUSH about how I finally (after 2 years and playing through Fire Red, Emerald, Leaf Green and Heart Gold for I don't know how many bleedin' hours) caught a SHINY!!!! Yaaaaaaaaayyyyy!!!!! (Okay, I don't count the Red Gyrardos in HG - everyone gets that one - even me.)

At about 9:30 a.m., MST I caught a SHINY NIDORINA!!!! (Caught on Rt. 15, Kanto.)

Well, it's the first for me that I actually caught. I did see one shiny zubat in LG, but accidentally fainted it before I caught it.

Very happy now!

The only Shiny I ever caught was that Red Gyarados in HGSS.

I've never even encountered a Shiny. Everyone's so lucky...

I was Ditto hunting on Emerald when I came across a shocking pink Whismur with neon green ears. Almost didn't believe I had found it, but I managed to get it with a thunderwave and a normal ball. That's actually a first for me, catching one with a poke ball. With most of the others, I either used dusk balls, and in Electrike's case, I freaked out and chucked my master at it. So... anyway... I cloned it once, then once again, and evolved the original all the way and the first clone once. Then I got all hyped up and started chaining some duskull. It didn't go too well though...

Don't feel too bad Everlasting . . . this was only the 2nd shiny I've ever encountered (not including the Red Gyarados). I've played through FR, LG, Ruby & HG. The first one was a Zubat in Leaf Green . . . that I accidentally smashed before I could catch it. <sigh> But this does give me hope of maybe, eventually, finding another.

That's all I have, and I'm not intending to be a Shiny hunter. Well, except for the Eevee. I was trying to get a Timid Female so I can get an Espeon, but I ended up with an Adamant male with Wish+Curse.

I hope I don't get in trouble for this, but I got another shiny. A shiny on HeartGold, I haven't evolved it yet, and probably won't since I can't find my HeartGold that it is on.

I have a bunch I got from trades / GTS, which i wont bother listing, cause half of them are prolly hax. like that level 1 shiny shaymin..... its so cute tho, i couldn't just release it

I have encountered and captured three Geodude, all still Geodude, Whiscash and Abra which is now an Alakazam. I have also encountered and captured the give away Lake of Rage Gyarados and I do feel the need to mention the pity shiny Pok

So far I only captured a shiny Unown on Pokemon Crystal.(I wonder if it stil works)
And in leafgreen I encounterd a shiny mankee but my starter was too eager and crit it
And of course the usual red Gyarados from lake Rage.

Slightly off-topic: Does anyone know when an egg is determined to hatch shiny? When the egg is received or just as it hatches...?

i think it was when the daycare man turns to indicate he has an egg the shinyness and IVs are set. so you cant even save before picking it up and SR it.

What determines if a pokemon in a egg will be Shiny is set the minute the egg is created which means after you take those 200 & something steps which generates the egg at the Day-Care before you even get back there so you actually have to save, hatch the egg & if not shiny, make another 1 & repeat the process...

I just LITERALLY got a shiny Rayquaza in Sapphire!
I was bored, and I was SR'ing Rayquaza, and battled it not just 5 minutes ago, and it was shiny!
So I caught it with Master Ball. (I saved the M.B. for this.)

I captured a shiny Roselia in my HeartGold. I only realized it because I didn't recollect it having black petals on one arm. As of right now it's the only one I've ever (knowingly) encountered and captured aside from the Red Gyarados. But I will hopefully EVENTUALLY get a shiny Scyther.
