Sonic is a billion times better than Mario.
Lets do a comparison.
Sonic- Fast, Blue, Hedgehog
Mario-Fat,Plumber, Not so fast
So yes sonic is better, but shadow beats them all =P

I grew up in a very balanced household.
My oldest brother loved his Sonic, he even had Tails and Sonic plushies.
While my other brother enjoyed Nintendo.

I think Sonic is alot more exciting, there is alot more happening.
Personally I prefer Knuckles. He climbs, glides and rolls.

I'm gonna have to go with Sonic, he's much much faster. And Mario just runs like a fat guy(oh wait he is a fat guy)and i like fast paced games most of the time anyways.

even in his cart mario still sucks. how many times have i raced in his carts and won. a big fat 0
