Most black metal sucks because it all sounds the same. I only like the unique ones that stands out from the black metal genre. Note that Black metal wasnt made to sell out. I don't really like Carpathian Forest but I totally forgot to mention Leviathan, such a great band. or Forgotten Woods. No black metal is no sellout it's a scandinavian lifestyle
I hate bands like Satyricon and Dimmu Borgir for their poopy melodic music and their commerce. I hate their record label too, probably Nuclear Blast. |

I went to Ozzfest this year. YAY! FREE! The best act was Ozzy. Static-X played a good set, and Hatebreed was not bad. Those other guys, with names I couldn't read too well because of how they're written... The black metal bands. I didn't get into them much. |

Burzum, Emperor, Dissection, Sacramentum, Vinterland, Bathory, Ulver, Arcturus, Agalloch are some of my favorites. Most from early-mid 90's. We don't need two threads for this, please use the other, more recent one.
