There are times when I really feel old. Now is one such time. When I was a kid, in the 80s/90s, I absolutely LOVED the Ghostbusters and often found myself wishing that a third movie would be released as I got older. Well, the time has come...sort of XD

What's really exciting about this game is that Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis (the two actors who wrote and starred in the two Ghostbusters films) are going to be writing the script for the game! Not only that, but they, along with Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson, will be reprising their roles as the Ghostbusters in the game via voice-overs! In an interview with Dan Aykroyd, he stated that this game is pretty much going to be like a sequel to the second movie. This is Ghostbusters 3, people!

Just a few interesting things to note about the video:

1. The HUD is displayed on the player's proton pack. This keeps the screen free of menus and health bars etc. for a cleaner, more cinematic look.

2. Several kinds of beams are going to be available in the game, including one currently being referred to as the "wrangler beam." It allows you to slam ghosts around the area.

3. Stay Puft's face is toastable! If you look closely in the fight with the lovable Marshmellow Man, his face and body will literally toast when you burn him with the proton beam.

I am so psyched for this game. Fall 2008 cannot come soon enough.

It brings up memories of Luigi's Mansion.

Ohh, I wish I could buy it. I can't believe they're going to be the voices, me and my friend are so excited, (even if we can't get it, lol).
I used to love the Ghost Busters as a kid, I even listened to the tapes in the bath, haha.
I hope the graphics are good.
