I was thinking. Wiis are a pain to get ahold of. Shops always sell them out on the day they get them in, so it's near impossible to get a wii without being at a store the second it opens on the day it recieves stock.

So I was wondering if anyone has any interesting stories of how they got a wii. Were you one of the lucky ones who scored one in stock? Were you someone who got a used off ebay? Were you extremely lucky in scoring one for under 250? Or are you one of the unfortunate souls who had to pay 300+ for one from a buyer/reseller?

I'll start. I was looking left and right on ebay for one. 400 here, 600 there. 3days this, 10hours that. Then I seen one for 220, with 3 mins left on the auction. I started a .50 cent race with an auto bidder (I think) In the end, I walked away with it for 227.50

Dick Smith had a deal where you can try out the Wii, and if you don't like it after seven days you can bring it back and get your money back - no questions asked.

So my brother bought one, hired some games and we played it for a week. It was sweet! He didn't wanna keep it though.

Went to Best Buy. Went to customer service. Asked for Wii. Payed for Wii (250 Dollars). Got Wii. Went home. Played Wii.

Its actually pretty easy to get a Wii where I live everyone I know has just walked in and got one but they still sell out the day they come in.

Got mine on launch day. My older sister (older by two years, I'm the middle child) stood on line (I paid her back), because I had to go to work. I gave my brother cash to buy TP.
