Yeah, just 3 weeks ago I bought an Aerosmith CD (Toys in the Attic), and that was in the 70's!
Although most of my CD's are from the 90's (3 70's, 2 80's, 12 90's and 10 00's), I enjoy music from the 60's (Beatles, Pink Floyd), 70's (Aerosmith, The Clash, AC/DC), 80's (Journey, Metallica, Megadeth), 90's (Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, RATM, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, Foo Fighters and Stone Temple Pilots), and 00's (Weezer, Foo Fighters, Techno, RHCP and SOAD).
What I mean is every decade of music brings new genres, bands, and hits. I lay in the 70's, 80's and 90's for music mostly (unless a band I like comes out with a new CD).
So just because they're coming out with a new CD doesn't mean you shouldn't get the current one. If I were you, I would get both (especially because some of my favorite songs are by Paramore
).
