What's your favorite album cover(s)?
Please supply a picture of the cover so other posters can see it.
The Pillows - Thankyou My Twilight
Why do I like this one? Because The Pillows are my all time favorite band, and on the album cover they're just kicking back and relaxing around a fast food table like a bunch of funny guys. I also like how it says "Is Life Delicious" in the background.
Blood Brothers - Crimes
This album cover is really cool. The band is very experimental, so it's expected of them to include some obscure drawing. In the album sleeve it says "My evil twin has no voice, just the sound of helicopters crashing." I think that's freaking awesome.
I'll add more when I can access all my music again. (External hard-drive screwed up)

I don't take note of many album covers but Damien Rice's ' O' is my favourite. A lot of people will probably think it's bland and boring, but I think the cover is just representative of Rice's songs - raw and kinda depressing.
Snow Patrol's ' Eyes Open' is pretty neat too... even though I think it looks like an art student's project.
Also I like the look of Switchfoot's ' Oh! Gravity'
Yeah I know the covers I provided aren't great but I think this is a great thread and I want it to lift off Also, I edited the title of this thread to warn people this thread could get image heavy.

White Album is simple, yet elegant.
EDIT =======
Sorry if the picture is a little large, it was the first decent one I could find.

Hip Hip Hooray, I have my music back!
Metallica: Load
An album cover symbolising their early message of 'do what the hell we want'. Why? Because the actual image itself is a mixture of animal blood and semen between two sheets of perspex.
Marilyn Manson: Portrait of an American Family
I am shocked I didn't think of this one before. It has to be one of my all time favorite album covers. They've taken the simple theme of a traditional family activity and turned it into something freaky by only changing their appearances.
C'mon guys, start posting! This could be a really interesting thread.

Here are a few of my favorites, beside Eyes Open by Snow Patrol:
I really like how it looks chaotic, but still has a sense of order. And the way Adam just stares out at you... it's unrealistic yet somewhat realistic at the same time.
Also, Matchbox Twenty's Mad Season has a pretty cool cover too:
And, my favorite album in the whole world, and the only one I've bothered to right a review on :

That is SUCH a horrible cover. I'm serious. What the hell were they thinking? A crappy cover to accompany a crappy album.
Carcass - Reek of Putrefaction
A great album accompanied by a fantastic cover. Just bits and pieces of different stuff. Brilliant.

I'm a wee bit surprised this hasn't come up:
Absolution, Muse's third album, released in 2004.
Muse love surrealist art and weird things to do with the paranormal.
It's a great album, fast music/slow music/loud music/quiet music.
Being a massive Muse fan, I recommend listening to this album or any other of theirs highly.

Great CD, I think their best.
Ok CD, but freakin' awesome artwork. Someday I plan to draw this out on my own.

I can't really pick just one I favor so I have a top 9 here:
I can't really say much why I like this one. Perhaps simplicity and the art of empty space, as well as my interest in chirography.
I think it's just the play on words here, but this has always interested me.
This probably reflects my affection for amateur and MS Paint drawings.
I can't really deny that it's mostly the clouds in this picture that I like, but the font face and colors go well with it. There are about four covers for this album, and this is the only good one. ;o
The color pairing is what I like most about this. The subtle hints of red in what seems to be a very busy cover appeal to me. I'm not sure what the zodiac wheel has to do with this album, but I certainly don't mind it. :P
The previous just sets up for this one. I love black and white photography (as well as pen and ink drawings), and I'm sure it's what draws me to here (and those little red O's). Plus... Madonna... totally bangable here. :O!!!
Maybe it's just because I like this album, but the art and the texture in general to me are nice.
I'm a fan of anatomy and the juxtaposition is interesting (what it says exactly I'm not sure), and the background color and pattern have always been pleasing.
I'm pretty sure this one is my favorite, but I can't say for sure. Anatomy again, and the space imagery is cool. The planet surface reminds me of the big asteroid (and scary space slug D:) in Empire Strikes Back.
I just have to say that Black Sabbath and Ozzy probably have the worst album covers ever. Seriously. Both bands with or without Ozzy, it doesn't matter. They all suck.

The best album cover is probably Mayhem's Dawn of the Black Hearts. It is so brutal, im not even gonna try to post it.
It is a picture of their lead singer after he slashed his wrists and shot himself with a 12 gauge.
Its the most disturbing and brutal thing ever because its a real picture taken by band mate Euronymous.

Another awesome cover I found. It is from Eminem's upcoming album called Relapse. I love the way they used Pills to create a mosaic of his face. It seems fitting to the album title and Eminem's recent addiction to prescription drugs. Also I like the way it sais "Prescribed by Dr. Dre" on the sticker instead of "Produced by Dr. Dre".

I love the 30th anniversary edition of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Something about it just clicks more than the original.
This one is just captivating for some reason:
And finally, I leave you with someone on a motorcycle bursting out of Hell.
Other close ones include Boston's self-titled album, The Best of the Moody Blues, and Queen II.
