Its never to late. Good music is timeless and if it ever becomes to late then it isn't worth buying in the first place.

For instance I am still buying albums that were released late 80s early 90s.

These guys are right; music does remain timeless. Heck, people like Elvis, the Beatles, Abba, Queen....they're all still famous and loved.
XD
This thread isn't really of much use anymore, is it?

And neither was your post, but there is a sort of line between spam and unnecessary. For instance there really isn't a thread with this topic so if somebody has anything to say its best to keep it here as opposed to setting up a new topic.

My rule is if I ever think I will regret buying a cd or not listen to it ever again because new music is better I will download it off the interwebz because it isn't worth the money they charge for it.

Just remember that an album is a work of art. Not getting a CD because you have a different one of the same artist is like a museum turning down a Picasso because they already have a different painting by him.

Unless of course it happens to be a greatest hits CD in which case it really depends on if you like the song selection or if they have different versions of the songs than album versions.

Yeah, just 3 weeks ago I bought an Aerosmith CD (Toys in the Attic), and that was in the 70's!
Although most of my CD's are from the 90's (3 70's, 2 80's, 12 90's and 10 00's), I enjoy music from the 60's (Beatles, Pink Floyd), 70's (Aerosmith, The Clash, AC/DC), 80's (Journey, Metallica, Megadeth), 90's (Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, RATM, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, Foo Fighters and Stone Temple Pilots), and 00's (Weezer, Foo Fighters, Techno, RHCP and SOAD).
What I mean is every decade of music brings new genres, bands, and hits. I lay in the 70's, 80's and 90's for music mostly (unless a band I like comes out with a new CD).
So just because they're coming out with a new CD doesn't mean you shouldn't get the current one. If I were you, I would get both (especially because some of my favorite songs are by Paramore  ).
