As you can see, the forums have been upgraded and given a new theme along with it. There will be more tweaks in the next week, but things should be functional for now.

During the process, the Psybucks data got corrupted - since they're not actually used for anything at this time, you've all been compensated for your losses at a fixed rate. In the future, there will actually be something to spend them on too.

If you spot any other things that look funny, or just plain don't work, leave a note here and we'll look into it.

So would this be the thread so we can leave any notes we have on the new layout - compliments, gripes, suggestions, and the like? Or is there another specified topic for that?

A few things I've noticed:
1. None of the old attatchments work. It shows that error thing (the X and the name of the file) instead.
2. All the links and stuff at the top of the page are not there. That means no links to the rules, the main website, and the user control.

By the way, will we get our psybucks back?

This is currently making me very sad.

Other things I've noticed. (This is just going to be a laundry list; at least half of it will mostly be stating the obvious)

~The banner, but I'm assuming that's a placeholder
~The icons used for new posts are different, like the i, the !, and so forth. Are those getting replaced or are those the things we're living with?
~I would have brought up the User CP and EVERYTHING WITH IT (including the logout button) being missing, but now we know that.
~I think the biggest thing I dislike right now is the forum layout; it stretches all the way out to the edges of the page, instead of allowing like a 50px margin or so (the margin looks only about 10px or so now). For me personally I think this looks way too busy and spread out, especially considering there isn't too much material in the "middle" of the page that would push it outward.

They're one of the first things that will be getting changed, yes. But it's not worth keeping the forums closed while I find better icons to use.

Just as a reminder, if anyone sees something off with the forum in the next few days like the header links not showing up, hold Shift and then refresh the page to see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, feel free to post the problem in this thread.

Especially liking the new forum banner.
Looking like a lot of the things with the previous upgrade got fixed (ie: Post preview/PMs/polls are now accurate to forum skin) which is a definite improvement.
Not quite used to post time/date being at the bottom of posts as opposed to in the subject line as previous but will probably get used to it.
Links are also now underlined, don't know if intentional but can live with that.

They were MIA for a few days.

Oh by the way, speaking of the banner, those look like Xous' drawings. I know he likes being notified if his artwork is used elsewhere - which was done, right?

I believe that character limit has existed ever since Psypoke upgraded to phpBB3 back in...what, 2008? And you're only noticing it just now?

Wow. This is... rather different. It's going to take a bit to get used to, but I'm already liking the banner. The whole forum in general also looks more "modern" if that even makes any sense.

I've noticed that you can't click on users name, next to their posts, to get to their profile.

That has been moved to the bottom of the post. Click the Profile button.

I like the new design. I've noticed that there isn't any "Mark All Topics Read" button, so you cold add one. Also, there still isn't a direct link to the main B/W page at the top of the forums: http://www.psypokes.com/bw/index.php

The "mark all topics read" is near the bottom of the page now instead of the top. For the index, it's directly under the Psypoke Archives section.
