Lugia is very sleek and an all time fav for me / Kyurem's design looks very demented- its wings don't really look like wings, and its arms are very small. Heck, now that I think of it, it looks like a T-rex with random wings. Oh and it's not really 100% official that it will be the mascot, but I'm pretty sure it will be though

@Shuckle-rock$: While it's not encouraged to comment about other people's vote, being the PokeNerd that I am I want to say that Kyurem is very much meant to have an awkward, demented look. In some of the artworks you can clearly see its unbalanced wings, asymmetrical face, and plain weird body pose - aside from the "clues" in Black/White, I believe the true purpose for its appearance will be revealed in the upcoming movie and the upcoming Gray version.
"But SL, that doesn't explain anything! Isn't Kyurem 'sposed to represent balance between Zekrom and Reshiram?"
That's the point! Kyurem was to represent balance, but it was torn between people's different ideals and became a mindless demented corpse!

Kyogre / Blastoise
- I LOVE Kyogre. It has a majestic design - partly based on an orca, one of my fav aquatic animals - yet unique from the super-complex Dragons in later gens. Drizzle brings rain, arguably the best weather around. It has a wide selection of moves to totally trump Groudon and sweep anything. Last but not least - My very first Pokemon game is Sapphire.
- Nay...I never really liked Water starters until Samurott. I especially hate that big fat mechanical turtle. Not to mention that Kanto already have much Water-types to use. But even as a hater I must admit it is pretty good for a solo run.

Reshiram/
Reshiram is amazing in type standards and also, as Jack Nickelson's character from 'A Few Good Men' states, "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!". Pikachu ends up getting eaten by Reshiram. ****ing mouse.

It disturbs me with the uneveness of mascots in gens 3 & 4. So I am going to even out the fourth. On that note, I really hope Kyogre and Groundon don't make it as the final pokemon in this PEC. I don't have a favorite between them.

Venusaur, me no likey. It is the most horrible starter I know after .
Blastoise is on Blue, which is my first Pokemon game that I owned, since my brother technically gave me Red. It is also my favorite pokemon. Venusaur is also very ugly.
Since I have voted for Venusaur three times, I can't vote for it again.

Pikachu is the mascot for one reason and one reason only; It was the first Pokemon to be created. Therefore, Venusaur should be #004 in the National Dex. But its not. Fail.

Yeah you can vote more than once, however, you can only vote once per day and you can't vote more for one pokemon for more than three times (whether it is a boot two times and an immunity once) per round. And also, (sorry about this, but I'm going to use you as an example) if you make the same vote like you just did, you better give one **** of a reason (i.e.: A reason related to STAB, Stats, or trivia) as of why. I'll accept it now, since you didn't know. But if anyone does this again, I will not accept it.

Actually, just because Pikachu is the mascot, that doesn't automatically mean that it was the first Pokémon to be created. In-depth studies show that the first Pokémon to be created was most likely Rhydon. And even if Pikachu was the first Pokémon created, they wouldn't put it first in the Pokédex. Do you really think that they created each of the Pokémon in the order like that?

Venusaur / Pikachu
- Venusaur isn't the best out of Kanto starters. It still isn't the best out of Grass-type starters. Buuuut I'm saving it because I like Grass-types. And maybe because the Rafflesia is an important national regional symbol (at least for me).
- Pika's decent, but...WAY too overused. Now most of the time I'm just sick seeing it (I don't really hate it though). Imo I'll just go with Raichu. Believe me, I had this Pikachu who's almost helpless before meeting a Thunder Stone (and becoming a sweeper afterwards).

Im voting for Groudon this time, not just for its cool looks, but for its Ruby game. The only two pokemon games I play these days is Ruby and Firered, and my main file is on FR, so I do a lot of play throughs on Ruby. Oh and Groudon is pretty useful in Uber battling / Again, don't really like its looks. Also, I'm now pretty sure it will be the mascot of Gray/Grey, so I'm not voting for that reason
