I'm not going to rest till I get pokemon in the HOF!!!!

{aggron} @ Lefties
252 Sp. Attack, 129 Defense, 129 Speed
Modest Nature
Male/Female

===========

Flamethrower
Surf
Ice Beam
Dragon Claw

Most Aggron sets are physical sweeper sets, so this might be a change. The EVs and the nature is VERY important in this one. Sp. Attack NEEDS to be boosted severely. Strategy is to just sweep.

gg uninstall: Impressive job with the Clefable. I'll add it to the list straight away; that sure was an impressive battle. EDIT: The Clefable I put on the list had some slight changes, that is to say, a Timid Nature (+Speed, -Attack, since after Drumming, Clef's Attack will be 999 anyway, and you need all the Speed you can get) and a 252 Spd/252 HP/6 SpDef EV spread. Attack EVs aren't necessary since, once again, Belly Drum will bring Clef's Attack to 999 anyway. Hope you don't mind.

steinerrecliner: There's a reason Aggron doesn't Special Sweep; it's because it has a max Special Attack of 240 (which is, to say, quite crappy). I appreciate the persistance, however.

tessa7338: We could take a look at the Dragonite, but Supersonic isn't a dependble enough move (55% = no good). But don't throw it away yet; it has some potential. As to Houndoom, we already have a Creative Houndoom set. You're gonna have to prove that the one you posted is better than the one we have, and frankly, Sunny Day/F-thrower/Crunch is almost COMPLETELY standard.

Crosman: While I realize Onix is your favorite, for the sake of the battle could we update it to Steelix? :P Other than that, I like the set a lot.

TO BE TESTED:

Crosman wrote:
{onix} lv100 @ Leftovers
- Toxic
- Substitute
- Block
- Dig/Earthquake

Use block then toxic.

Substitute and then remain using dig or Earthquake whichever you diside.

For EVs and Nature: 252 HP, 129 Def, 129 Atk, and either an Adamant (+Atk, -SpAtk) or Impish (+Def, -SpAtk).

TO BE GIVEN FURTHER CONSIDERATION:

tessa7338 wrote:
{dragonite}
Supersonic

Thunder Wave
Fill (Iron Tail or something)

Parattractafusioner.

Good base, but needs a slight moveset change . . . any ideas? Supersonic = not good enough. *cries over the absence of a Swagger TM*

Makes me happy to see this thread is getting action again; keep posting. :D

Yes, it's quite good. :P

EDIT: Stink, this post kicked it over to a new page. Everyone who has responsibility of some kind in this thread (who is to say, sNOwBaLL, Venumeleon, and WPM, and anyone who posted a set over there), please go read the last few posts of Page 19.

Isn't there going to be a Tutor in Emerald for Swagger?
Though I still miss the Curse TM.

Okay, how about,

{dragonite} @ Leftovers/Chesto/Brightpowder
Nature - Special Attack + Special Defense or Defense
EVs = 252 Special Defense - 252 Defense and 6 HP
Toxic
Reflect
Light Screen
Rest

Start with Toxic and then put up the screens, hopefuly Dragonite will be able to survive an Ice Beam with Light Screen up.

Toxistaller/Toxannoyer

{umbreon} @ King's Rock
Nature - -Speed + Special Attack
EVs - Special Defense - 252 - Defense - 252 and HP - 6

Bite
Body Slam
Mean Look
Rest

Body Slam them until they're paralyzed, then Mean Look them, and finish them with Bite (Flinching effect).

Um paper, it may be better to leave it as an Onix, When Onix evolves, it becomes extremely slow, Onix has better speed compared to Steelix, but you could try it as both.

Thanks PS for giving me something THAT close to a HOFer. But Supersonic is the only confusing move that Dragonite learns, as egg from Goldeen family. Or is it? But let me try again anyway.

{blissey}
Rain Dance
Thunder
Water Pulse
Softboiled? Rest?

Not invented by me, note. Someone else I know made it up, so i just merely CONTRIBUTED it.

{hitmonlee}/ Adamant @ Salac Berry
Endure
Reversal
Mega Kick/ Brick Break/ something that hits
Counter

Endure + Reversal. You know the drill.

Erhum... the emphasis on Houndoom was Overheat/ SDay/ Flash Fire/ Charcoal but I'll keep going! There aren't many Parattractafusioners out there and why can't we have one more! Unless you can somehow raise the accuracy of its attacks. Is there an item that does that? Lax insence?

-Lax Insence slowly reduces yours foes accuracy.

Here's my first creative moveset so it's probably not that good.

{azumarill}, Calm, Leftovers
1-Tickle
2-Sing
3-Defense curl
4-Surf

Pretty much Sing, then Tickle or use Defense curl. Surf is for damage.

You could try Body Slam over Surf since Tickle doesnt work on Surf.

I have a set for a spinda! How does it look?

{spinda}@Lefties
~Thrash
~Skill Swap
~Facade
~OMIT/Teeter Dance

The anti facade/guts combo-er thingie! Skill swap and get guts, then use thrash. Once you're confused, facade. Not that good, I know, but it's an idea.

Facade doesn't work like that. It is only for Paralyze, Burn, Poison. And anyway Spinda has OWN TEMPO AND THEREFORE NO CONFUSION!!!

Maybe replace

And i have found an even better Parattractafusioner! *hugs myself*

Enter... *drumroll*
{misdreavus}(!!!) / Adamant @ ???
Thunder Wave
Confuse Ray
Attract
Shadow Ball/ Perish Song/ Curse

Adamant because you need all the Speed you can get, and who needs Attack for a Misdreavus? Perish Song is there for the Vital Spirits, Insomnias, Obliviousers, etc. Curse is good too if they overwhelm you but it MUST be coupled with Lefties/ Shell Bell.

And another one, since I always put two.

{banette}
Rest
Curse
Shadow Ball/ Snatch
Metronome

Curse, then Rest. Insomnia wakes it up. Snatch and Metronome are there beacuse they are (somewhat) evil

And on the topic of Dargonite's Swagger, there will be an Emerald tutor for Swagger and it can be taught to Dragonite.

And another question, do you put the creative movesets among the "Movesets" section of the Psydex of that pokemon?

And I have spotted an error in the HOF first entry. Dusclops does not have Levitate, Duskull does. Dusclops has Pressure.

Uh, I'm not too sure about this, but I tried to Rest with Hypno on a CC and it didn't allow it to because of Insomnia.

Hmm...

Dragonite not creative enough, and face it, even if it survives the Ice Beam it will be killed by another or die while Resting.

Umbreon is alright, though I think going Mean Look before Body Slam is a better idea. Moonlight can also substitute Rest, if you want to.

Azumarill is just a very not-so-good mix of moves. Defense Curl takes too long, and Sing's bad accuracy plus the fact that it takes at least 12+ turns to set up is pretty bad. Sorry.

Er... Adamant actually increases Attack, tessa. And while it's good, it just doesn't good through because it's not creative enough, and Perish Song can be quickly avoided by switching.

Venu sort of summed up all that I wanted to say, so let me just add that if you have Vital Spirit you can't Rest and wake up immediately. In fact, you can't even Rest.

No offense taken, it was my first one anyway.

That's why you use Skill Swap first.

That was my old Sandslash set, but I had EQ over Sand Tomb.
Old as in when this place still had an arena, and 386 was new.

Umm... to make this go a little faster, can you just post some random poke and we come up with sets for it? It's getting harder to come up with unique ones.

Example: You ask for a... umm... {pelipper}
We give our sets for pelipper.

We issue challenges when it gets slow . . . and since there's a lot of action, I think we can wait. But I will issue them again in the future.

And besides, I think we already have a Pelipper . . .

Paper, since you're on right now, could you take a look at my other sets? The spinda, farfetched, and qwilfish?

Everyone, please read (or REread) the first post of this thread. I've made a few rules about how and how OFTEN to post sets.

Now, on to your sets, WPM:

WPM'S SPINDA: While the idea has merit, Spinda's Attack merely fails to carry the moves, and I don't think it's got enough Defenses to survive the setup. But it was a good idea.

WPM'S FARFETCH'D: Looks cool . . . we may need to test it to know for sure.

WPM'S QWILFISH: I like it.

And another I wanted to mention:

RAICHU_LATIAS'S UMBREON: This strategy looks sound. I wanna have it tested.

TO BE TESTED:

Water Pokemon Master wrote:
{qwilfish} @Leichi
Brave/252 Attack, 129 Sp. Def, 129 Def
~Swords Dance
~Sludge Bomb
~Shadow Ball
~Revenge

Water Pokemon Master wrote:
{farfetch'd} @ Lefties | (+Speed, -Sp. Attack or Attack Nature)
EVs: 252 HP, 129 Defense, 129 Sp. Defense
~Substitute
~Baton Pass
~Swords Dance
~Aglity

RaichuLatias wrote:
{umbreon} @ King's Rock
Nature - -Speed + Special Attack
EVs - Special Defense - 252 - Defense - 252 and HP - 6

Bite
Body Slam
Mean Look
Rest

Keep 'em coming. Read that updated first post, please. :)

I'm sorry paper. Rules firmly in my mind now. And also, that's not my Farfetched. That's SS's. Mine is the endure-a-flailer.

Crosman: While I realize Onix is your favorite, for the sake of the battle could we update it to Steelix? Other than that, I like the set a lot.

Passed It right up lol.

If I update Onix to steelix then I become week to fire.

I have alot of trust in my onix, she may have bad stats but when she;s in battle for some reason I Own the leaders. I do have a steelix, but Im thinking of evolving my onix into another steelix and then training another Onix, i belive I have 6 or 7 onix.

Yes, My Onix is a girl, My Boy onix is being trained as we speek.
