In Slowpoke Well's B1...you need Strength to access the floor...talk to the guy down there & he'll give it to you...

Just a quick mechanics question: What determines which defense to use when counting damage? Does it depend on whether the attack is physical or special or does it depend on the type (i.e. fire, water, etc.) of the attack?

It depends weather the attack is physical or special, not the type.

and now for my slightly frustrated unanswered question in bold: Can you clone in pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver?

@Lawrence Codye - The effects of Aprijuice last forever. If you feed it a different Aprijuice, one stat might go up, and another go down.
@Ryder - No. HG/SS have the new PC system, so there's no way to clone, but you might be able to do it the GTS way like in DPP.

Thank you much Ryanh181, now I can start working on actually breaking high scores by chance...experiment time...
Oh & another question people...does the guy who gives you the for protection ever take it back?...I though he did once when I was playing the original Gold Version but maybe not...

So, I'm breeding for a Sudowoodo with Wood Hammer and Rock head, but each Sudowoodo that hatches knows Copycat, Flail, Low Kick and Rock Throw, not Wood Hammer. Wood Hammer is supposed to be a level 1 attack for Sudowoodo, but I still can't get it. Does anyone know what the problem is?

its his egg moves. the moves he knows are egg moves, and egg moves always overwrite normal moves that he would have known. have the move deleter delete some of the moves that he knows right now, and the sudowoodo that hatches next should know the normal moves that a sudowoodo would know without egg moves.

Well, so much for Sudowoodo. I am NOT waiting until Blackthorn for that. I don't even have 4 badges!

MasterChef wrote: So I got a question, Is there a reliable place to find heart scales? well, if you've walked 2000+ steps in the beautiful beach pokewalker route, you can find heartscales fairly often. maybe 1/3 of the time. and then theres migrating and such, and they can be purchased at the pokeathlon dome on sunday and wednesday for 1000 points. the pokeathlon is a reliable way, although isnt very cheap. *shrugs* I hope that was of some help.

Where is Red?
Where is Zapdos?
How do I get the Kanto/Hoenn Starters?
Are there any other Game corner games than the Voltorb game?

Red is at the peak of Mt. Silver, obtainable after you get all 16 badges and talk to Prof. Oak.
Should be noted that Hail is in effect while you battle him.
Zapdos is right outside the Power Plant after you get all 16 badges.
Kanto starters: talk to Prof. Oak after you defeat Red.
Hoenn starters: talk to Steven Stone in Silph Co. after you defeat Red.
And no, the Voltorb game is the only one.
Lame, right?
There's supposedly some kind of method to it, though.
I haven't taken the time to figure it out, but people say it's like sudoku or crossword.

Yeah, I thought it was kind of like minesweeper.. Which I am good at, but not this stupid game.
Also, I went as far up to Mount Silver as i could, and all i found was Moltres. Is there a secret path?
