Personally, I plan on waiting to see what the final evolutions look like before I finalize my starter for Sun and Moon. I mean, I was gonna go with Fennekin for X and Y, but I liked Greninja better. |

Omg that new Salamander pokemon is sooo nice! (Salandit) For those who don't know a Salamander is a mythologic creature that lives in flames and is poisonous. Definitely buying the game now. o/ |

I just don't like cocoon Pokemon. Gamefreak has been trying so hard to make the more recent ones "interesting" and it's still not working for me. Also, Normal/Fighting red panda hugging bear is good. Ghost/Fairy puppet pretending to be Pikachu is ugh. I thought it was a 4 year old's fan drawing of Pikachu when I first saw the Corocoro scan. If it can assume the forms of other Pokemon it's sort of an interesting idea, but if it only ever looks like Pikachu, it's just stupid. We already have Pikachu and six generations of annual Pikachu clones, so another Pokemon that looks like Pikachu (however interesting its backstory might be) is just NO. |

The concept that it breaks everything it "hugs", the fact that people are inherently terrified of it, the cutesie face combined with the type of body that's perfect for sneaking up on someone in the darkness of night, and the dead eyes just shouts that kind of danger out to me. I also think that the fact that they've successfully created a car battery pokémon is interesting inandof itself, and its design and behavior meshes well with the logical behavioral patterns that could be expected of something like a Vikavolt. |
