......

I've been terribly overdue, as you can see. I've lost internet connection for quite a while now, and have lost a bit of touch for Pokemon Battling.

So, sadly, I think I'll have to give my position to someone else. Maybe, just maybe, I might get more interested, with the coming out of Diamond and Pearl.

I don't really have much left to say, except I'm terribly sorry. I'll still be on the forums, except much less active.

Peace.

EDIT: Eh, I kick myself. Anyway, I've still got some problems to work out, but if everything goes well, I'll be back to testing in mid-April.

Meanwhile, I'll just leave a crappy set for you guys:

{machamp}@Scope Lens
Adamant
252ATT, 129SPD, 129HP
Focus Energy
Cross Chop
Earthquake
Bulk Up/HP Ghost

Admittedly, CritiChamp isn't as good as I thought it would be. Still, Cross Chop can inflict some serious wounds, with EQ for Steel/Rock types. You can either go with Bulk Up for more power or HP Ghost to handle stuff like Gengar. Yes, it's more or less standard Machamp, but it's the best I can come up with for now.

These are solely for helping you catch other Pokemon:

{marowak} |Impish|
~False Swipe
~Leer
~Growl
~Headbutt

{scyther}/{scizor} |Impish|
~Leer
~Agility
~Quick Attack
~False Swipe

The sets are self explanatory. Nothing special, just when your working on your Pokedex these may be good to have in your party.

I thought the best catcher was this:

{breloom}
~Spore
~Swords Dance
~False Swipe
~Weak Powered HP Ghost

Maybe it's time for a little reminder of what the Creative Movesets Thread is all about . . .

This thread is solely and completely devoted to the creation and application of movesets that are NOT, I repeat, NOT, standard. Also, this is not a fancy kind of Rating Center. Look back over the past pages, or at my first post in the thread, and you guys will see what it's all about.

I'm sorry, I was being an idiot.

Anway, here's a swag-passer! I made it up. xD

{vaporeon}@Lefties
The nature fails me, though. perhaps a +Defense, -Attack?
~Swagger (trade with emerald)
~Acid Amor
~Double Team
~Baton Pass

Alternate swagger and acid armor, then double up a bit, then pass.

I like the CriticaChamp! Haha maybe it's because I like Criticalken in the first place. But CriticaChamp has a slight advantage, because it can learn purely physical moves, and need not bother about split EVs, unlike the standard Criticalken.

WPM's Vaporeon has some potential as well. But what would happen if you were hit with, say, Thunder? That's something you should think about. But good attempt anyway.

NOTE: We need a responsible and hardworking person to take over Venumeleon for the time being, and to work with him when he comes back. Anyone wanna apply can PM papersun or me.

{lickitung}
Impish@Leftovers
252HP, 129DEF, 129SPDEF
Lick
Heal Bell
Wish
Sesimic Toss

Yeah, weird. Cleric of sorts. Lick for paralysis, then heal as you want to, then just Sesimic Toss. Unlikely, but surprising.

{torkoal}
Sassy@Leftovers
252HP, 129SPDEF, 129DEF/ATT
Yawn
Amnesia
Curse
Sludge Bomb/Return/Explosion

Uh... yeah. You Yawn, then use that turn to Amnesia. Curse boosts defense as well as power for your attack. Go with Sludge Bomb for PSN, Return for power or Explosion if you want to go out with a bang.

Lickitung's moveset is cute! Unpredictable, I agree. Watch out for Fighting types though - its defense can't last it more than 2 hits or so.

Torkoal still seems a little standard-ish to me though.

Ah-ha.

{lickitung}@Liechi/Chesto
~Swagger
~Screech
~Counter
~Rest

Swagger them up, screech, then counter over and over. Rest when needed.

Has potential as well. But still has the same problem of weak defenses that are unable to take more than a few hits.

Really, it's maxes I thought were 273, which seems a little higher than average.

 What if we tried that set for Umbreon? Though since {umbreon} can't learn Counter, maybe Flail would work?

Umbreon @ Leftovers

Swagger
Screech
Flail
Rest

I don't know the exact maxes for its Defense, but I consider 273 average...

The Umbreon looks good ^_^

The only problem I see with that Umbreon is if you try it against something like Machamp or Heracross, and then get royally pwned by a Cross Chop or Megahorn, since Umbreon is weak to Fighting and Bug.

I've been on a moveset spree lately....

{steelix}
Sassy@Leftovers
252HP, 129SPDEF, 129DEF
Block/Sand Tomb
Swagger
Toxic
Explosion/Rest

Obviously, you have to be very careful with this set. Block when a physical sweeper is out, of Sand Tomb if you want some extra damage, Swagger and Toxic, then either blow up or sleep when health drops. You can either have the Sp. Def EVs in case you're worried about the occasional Flamethrower or so, or do 252HP, 252DEF, 6ATT and Impish nature if you're not concerned.

Well who would put it up against a Machamp or a Heracross? That'd be like putting Espeon up against a Houndoom?

But counter is kind of needed, I mean, attack raised by 6-8 levels, counter it back DOUBLE.

Isn't "Sharply" 2 levels,

I looked up pokemon that can learn those moves, maybe you could look for someone with better Defense,

I'm searching for nice movesets for my shiny {muk}. As it has a timid nature, I'm not shure what to do with it.

I also have a few problems about my shiny {exeggcute}, which has a naiv nature.

So if you guys have any ideas I would really be pleased to hear them!
Thanks a lot, _ghost_

Sorry, but this is not the place to request for help with your Pokemon. You should be going to the Rating Centre. Here's the link: http://dynamic3.gamespy.com/~psypoke/fo ... 61&start=0

{gengar}@Lefties/Shell Bell

Curse

D. Bond / Perish Song

Toxic

Mean Look

Wicked way to chip off their HP. If all else fails, sing them away.

{articuno}@Salac Berry

Mind Reader

Sheer Cold

Water Pulse

Protect / Blizzard

If Mind Reader + Sheer Cold don't work... blast them to pieces with Blizzard. But Protect is good too.

Both aren't bad. But both are pretty standard.

Oh, I forgot to look up something with a better defense.

.....

Surprisingly enough, tyranitar can get the job done. He can also whittle the opponant down with sand stream. Marowak was a close second.

Once again, T-Tar suffers from a 4x weakness to two common types; Ground (EQ) and Fighting (Brick Break).

Anything on Steelix, sn0w?

Ouchies, I didn't look at the weaknesses. Well, since marowak's only weak to grass and water, which aren't physical attack, I think that would be the one.

EDIT: When I said up to 6-8 levels, I meant using swagger constantly.

About time I responded. Here's my "creative" Mewtwo:

Image

Thunder Wave/Will-o-whisp/Hypnosis
Psychic
Helping Hand/Mimic
Future Sight

I'd use this in a double battle. Basically, put your foe to sleep (or Paralyz or Burn) Use Future Sight. Hit it with a Psychic, use Helping Hand on your ally, Future Sight hits it and if it hasn't fainted then your powered up ally can do some damage !

I like this and I've made it up off the top of my head. (P.S. I'm not sure whether Mewtwo can learn Helping Hand or Will-O-Whisp but it's still a good idea).

Ah, I missed the Steelix. Looks fine by me. You can test it out, Venu, if you have the time. As for Myuutsuu's Mewtwo... Mewtwo doesn't learn Will-o-wisp, nor does it learn Hypnosis or Helping Hand... So I guess your set is out of contention. Good effort anyway. Perhaps you can find a Pokemon that can learn the exact same moves as those you posted. Then we can test it.
