Yeah I've heard that Pokemon like Munchlax actually are in the game, but there is no way of getting them. Let's see what Nintendo can come up with.
And no, you don't have to complete those missions all the time. They are essential for getting on with the game though, so you have to do them eventually. However, most missions that are part of the storyline can be resumed as and when you like, so you can choose to do any number of optional missions in between those.

You can't recruit them, but you can see them.
Munchlax comes through some special event that I haven't the foggiest as to how to unlock, but it has something to do with food...how unpredictable. >_< Also, from what I remember from my strategy guide, it's random. (My friend has it, so I cannot confirm, but I remember most of what I read in that guide; namely things like Smoochum is a Grass type and this Pokemon I do not know of called Electrabuzz.)
The other four can be obtained in the way of statues.
Bonsly: Beat all the mazes in the Makuhita Dojo. Along with a Ginseng, you get a Bonsly statue to put outside your base.
Lucario: Get Lucario Rank of 15K rescue points (15,000), and if you have an open spot in your mailbox, the next day you get a letter congratulating you and the letter gives you a Lucario Statue.
Mime Jr. and Weavile: Two random * rank missions will give you these. It'll be listed as the reward, however, don't go kill yourself for them
I thought Croconaw evolved at level 32, not 30...guess I was wrong ^-^

For the Weavile and Mime Jr. statues, the wondermail does not have to be a * ranked mission. here are a few:
Client: Zubat
Objective: Help Me
Place: Tiny Woods 1F
Reward: Weavile Fig
??9? H?+? 4???
8F?+ F4N6 J???
Client: Zubat
Objective: Help Me
Place: Tiny Woods 2F
Reward: Mime Jr. Fig
??K? H?S? 4?6?
FF?+ F?N6 J???

After knowing evolution doesn't make you stronger, you guys have no idea how much I regret having evolved my Totodile partner... He's so... ugly, as Feraligatr... T___T
I've re-started the game. And DIDN'T answer the questions sincerely (otherwise I'd turn out a Pikachu again) so I could be a Charmander, which is actually my favorite out of the starters. I'll still be Galar, and I'm still choosing Totodile as my partner and naming it Fangy, and I'm still naming my team "Galaxy".
I won't make the evolution mistake again, though... >.>
So you can't recruit them... That's a bit sad to hear. I would like to have Lucarion joining my team.

I won't evolve into Ivysaur. At what level does bulbasaur evolve because I'm at level 20. Totodile won't evolve into croconaw and it's at level 21. Also I need tips on how to beat Moltres in Mt. Blaze when all the rescue teams are chasing you.

Your Pokémon will only be able to evolve after you beat the game. I only got to evolve my Totodile when it reached level 32, which was by the time I beat the game.

Does your Totodile have Water Gun? If so, try using it as a shield for you; give it an Oran Berry, turn on the "Exclusive Move User" IQ skill, and disable all non-Water type moves. While you're cowering behing it, throw Gravelerocks at Moltres and if Totodile gets weak on HP, throw an Oran at it. Also, linked moves are your friend. Not having gone through as Totodile and Bulbasaur, this entire thing is just a suggestion, hope it helps

I just got Blue but no DS
It was sold out everywhere!
But I got $150 to buy it in a week!
What are the Pokemon you can start with in blue and you're a boy?

How much recruitment rate does friend bow increase?
does it mean that I can recruit Silcoon, Cascoon (secondary evolutions), Rayquaza and Groundon with it?

Anything that isn't Skitty, Eevee or Chikorita. Or, all the starters excluding Chikorita, Machop and Meowth.

It increases recruit by 10%. You can recruit most secondary evolutions, as long as you're level 50+. If you're level 30+ and with a Friend Bow, go ahead and try recruiting Groudon and Rayquaza. But be warned; you're not going to be too pleased with a 2.5%recruit...

2.5% is better tha none... think about Gastly and Kecleon...
anyways... most secondary evolution are -19% for recruiting...
so if my pokemon is level 50, exactly this number, with friend bow (+10%), and is Platinum rank, does is sound possible to recruit secondary evolutions?

According to my guide, for second evolutions under recruitment info, it says "Must be lv 90 (lv 50 with Friend Bow) to recruit", so I think that'd be about right.
And you can actually be lv 50-59 to have to same bonus. After levels 0-30, it goes up 2.5% every ten levels.
Which means that the span between 50 and 90 (40) amounts to a total bonus of 10%, which is the same as a Friend Bow bonus. Explains a bit why the book says that.

thank you for your answers...
I will work hard on levelling up...
actually, I have more questions
beside silver wind, heat wave, and powder snow, what else attack affects ALL FOES in the same room
(I knew earthquake and magnitude will attack everyone, but now I am only asking what attacks will affect foes in the same room)
another question,
for recruiting pokemon, I found that if the foe is some tiles away rather than close to the leader, it won't really join me... is it true?
and, Merry Christmas

Are you sure that you are looking in the right place? Unlike the other birds, Articuno is in Frosty Forest or something, not the Mt. Freeze or whatever it's called.
