What do ya'll think is the greatest and worst cartoon. I was watching cartoons and I thought of making this thread. My Favorite Cartoon would be Spongebob Squarepants & Avatar: The Last Airbender. The worst cartoon I've watched is Fairly Oddparents, Kappa Mikey, Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.

I don't watch cartoons often, but here:
Best: Kappa Mikey: Although childish, it was funny. Blues Clues: I love this show. The puppet version sucks, though.
Worst: CareBears.

Anime-wise, there are quite a few TV shows I like. Pokémon, back on its glory Indigo League days was one. The same with Digimon, I remember liking the first and third seasons. One Anime I absolutely love is Saint Seiya, or Knights of the Zodiac, which I watched when I was 7 or 8 years old: the cartoon died and was, for some weird reason, brought back to Cartoon Network last year, probably due to its huge popularity in Brazil. I also loved Shaman King and Pet Shop of Horrors (the Manga better than the Anime in both cases), and I used to watch Sailor Moon 'bout the same age I watched Saint Seiya.
Still in the Anime department, I fell in love for a TV show called Get Backers, which airs on Animax. I also enjoy watching Samurai X, or Rurouni Kenshin, Crayon Shinchan (ROFL), Card Captors Sakura (one of my very top favorites), Wolf's Rain, Saber Marionette J (and J to X), Cowboy Bebop (also a 133t cartoon), Evangelion (I prefer the Manga to the Anime, though), Full Metal Alchemist (which I just recently started to watch) and Medabots.
Regarding the worst Anime in my opinion, I would say Beyblade, Captain Tsubasa, Digi Charat Nyo, Inu-Yasha, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (even though the plot of Yu-Gi-Oh! is also lame), the Dragonball series (any, Z, GT, whatever) and Yu-Yu-Hakusho. I will either hate their plot or their graphics, or perhaps even both.
As for cartoons, I remember loving these when I was very young: Dungeons & Dragons, Care Bears, My Little Pony, Muppet Babies, Wild Fire, Denver the Last Dinosaur, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Get Along Gang, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Captain Planet, He-Man, Ninja Turtles, Pirates of Dark Water (geez, how I loved this one!), SWAT Cats (awesome), Smurfs, Where on Earth is Carmen San Diego, Bobby's World, Punky Brewster, Wacky Races, Dennis the Menace (Mister Wilsooooooon!!), The Herculoids, Hong Kong Phooei, Top Cat, The Pink Panther, The Woody Woodpecker Show, The Gummi Bears (l3333t) and, last but not least, The Hillbilly Bears (probably the best) When I was a little older I loved Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Freakazoid, Histeria, The Land Before Time, The Mask, Ace Ventura, Wild Thornberry, The New Ghostbusters... I can spend hours watching these.
Regarding nowadays cartoons, I like Fairly Odd Parents and Sponge Bob. I will eventually watch Courage the Cowardly Dog, Jimmy Neutron and Angry Beavers. But I absolutely love 98% of Disney movies (not the cartoon series, most of them suck).
Cartoons I am neutral to (I don't think I really dislike any cartoon) would be Ren & Stimpy, Cat Dog, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Dexter's Laboratory and a few others. Well, actually, there ARE cartoons I don't like: Codename Kids Next Door, Gargoyles and Justice League, along with a few others.
There, my giant post. I like cartoons. D;

I can't pick any one "best," but I can think of an, albeit unconventional, pick for worst. The anime " Air." It had beautiful graphics and sound, it had a driving plot, it was VERY well done... except it is the single most depressing thing I have EVER watched. I honestly felt like going to find a cold, dark corner to go cry in until I keeled over dead after watching it.
So, if you're every feeling TERRIBLY emo, watch Air.

Best: Rugrats (older episodes only), Doug (not the Disney version), Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, Ahhh! Real Monsters, Speed Racer, Angry Beavers, Cat-Dog, Power Puff Girls, Dexter's Lab., Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Two Stupid Dogs, Kablam (did I spell that right?), Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Super Mario Brothers Super Show, Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic Underground (not this Sonic X crap), anddddd...Reboot, although that isn't really a cartoon...
I know most of you are way too young to remember those shows, but please keep in mind, they are much better than the rubbish I'm about to list:
Fairly Odd Parents, Camp Lazlow(sp), Foster's Home, Jimmy Neutron, The Proud Family, Avatar, Naruto, Dragon Ball GT, Sonic X, A Pup Named Scooby Doo. Basically, turn your TV to Nick, Cartoon Network, or Disney, and there will be rubbish on.

Well said Krisp. Those cartoons were the best, especially Cow and Chicken and Two Stupid Dogs. I remember watching those on Cartoon Network when I was 3. Best ever.

The Best:
Pokemon back in its glory, (the new pokemon doesn't fool me and almost everyone on here) Digimon Adventure, Digimon Zero 2, Dragon Ball Z (I remember meeting up with my best friend every friday, going to the stores and buying some Dragon Ball Z cards that came with this gum ), Sonic The Hedgehog (was alright..), Monster Ranchers (I use to love this, if anyone can or does remember it) and I was obsessed with Beyblade when it first came out

I just remembered some of the best cartoons I've ever seen, but I believe most of you won't have even heard of them. If you haven't, you just HAVE to check them out.
Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines, The Impossibles, Bump in the Night. I remember ROFLing everytime I watched the first.

Jiggz, I took your advice with the whole "If you're feeling emo watch Air" and discovered one of my close friends had seen the whole series. I watched the whole thing in three days or so, and I cried for a couple hours after I watched the last three episodes. It wasn't quite crawl-in-a-corner-and-die sad, but still terribly, terribly depressing.
Oddly, the night I finished watching Air, I started to develop sleeping problems. Hm.
I have the WOW AMAZING SUPER LUCKY job of babysitting, so I get to watch a lot of cartoons. I guess I shouldn't complain about babysitting since really, it's not that bad, and the kids are seven and ten so I get payed to watch cartoons and do my homework. The seven year old loves Spongebob (which I personally cannot STAND) but I do like Shuriken School, Pokemon (everyone says the anime sucks, but the familiarity of it is nice), Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom.
I can't name any from my childhood, since after my Lamb Chop and Sailor Moon phases, I went on to South Park and the Simpsons (tender age of seven).

Those are pure classics. I remember coming home from school when I was about 6/7 and watching those shows. Good times...
Also on my favourites list is anything by Hannah-Barbera, pre-whenever-it-was-they-began-to-suck. Tom and Jerry are just amazing as well. Anyone remember Animaniacs? My little brother still watches it sometimes, and I still find it awesome.
Oh, and most cartoons after approx. 2000 suck. Badly.

I want to personally thank Galar for listing all those cartoons, otherwise I would've forgotten over half of them.
Anyway, let's go in chronlogical order.
As a toddler, I loved Nick Jr. Blues Clues, Little Bear, Eureka's Castle, Gulla Gulla Island. Of course now, Nick Jr. sucks on ice, along with Playhouse Disney. Speaking of Disney, they had plenty of good shows too, like BitBBH and New Adv. of Winnie the Pooh (they only show the former now.)
A bit older, and a lot more cartoons (Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Captain Planet, Hong Kong Phooey, Top Cat (and a lot of other Hanna-Barbara classics,) and a slew of Nick shows (Rugrats, Rocko, Thornberries, Tiny Toons, CatDog, Angry Beavers, and Hey Arnold) and a bunch of Cartoon Network ones as well (Freakazoid, Cow and Chicken, I M Weasel, Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Courage)
Once I reached double digits, I finally got into anime (DBZ, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!), and as I got older, so did the list (Kenshin, Wolf's Rain, Bebop, FMA, Yu-Yu...)
There are very few I hate, but a few include InuYasha, Eva, and Yu-Gi-Oh GX.
Um, I think that's it. Really, I'll watch almost any cartoon.
Wait, I forgot the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. That show rawked out loud.

Hmm... Best must be... Grey's anatomy (Oops, Not cartoon, my bad) Hmm... Don't watch much TV... Old pokemon was awesome.. I remember when i was about 6-7, I ran from school on fridays, just to watch pokemon... and when i was 8-9 i got that sparkle of pokemon again, Watched it at my friend's house, he had old take-ups of the old pokemon shows (they just stopped showing it, How RUWD.)
I wish i could see the new pokemon series, I don't mind the voice and stuff, I don't have so much taste for TV shows...
