Journey: "Stone In Love"
This is a sweet tune with lots of cool guitar work. If you like solos, then you should download it or something.

Listening to: Back in Black (AC/DC)
I'm not much of an AC/DC guy, but I like playing the guitar part on my bass. I can't do the solo, though. Need more strings.
Next up: Run to the Hills (Iron Maiden)
I love teh Iron Maiden. Playing this next, along with pretending to back-up vocals. (Not much of a singer, but I try. >.>)
After that: The Thrill is Gone (B.B. King.)
Playing the walking bass part on mah upright. I love me some twelve-bar blues.

NOFX - "She's Nubs"
I have this and the NOFX song "Bob" stuck in my head. I think She's Nubs is hilarious because it's about how a girl having a hard time doing things because she has "nothing but a body and a head". It tells about her hardships and how NOFX thinks it's awesome that he has "nubs".
Example lyrics:
"It's kinda hard to wear high-heels, and slip on banana peels.
How does she get in and out of tubs?
I hope she don't get mad, I hope she thinks this song is good not bad.
Cause we think she's totoally rad; she's nubs!"

Chiodos - There's No Penguins in Alaska
A nice fusion of Metal, Screamo and Post - Hardcore. The lyrics are something I can easily relate to (About a dying relationship completely destroying you) and screamed lyrics are nicely spaced with an ocassional female backup also. Though I do take issue with some of the guitar work (Mostly the quieter sections) and thought the presence of the triangle in the backround was pointless but overall this song deserves a B+.

Hmm
Armin van Buuren - Rush Hour
DJ Tiesto - Adagio for Strings
DJ Melodie - Rave Heaven
I like these Dance artists and these specific songs as they show different aspects of dance music. Adagio for strings by Tiesto ( worlds greatest DJ )
is more old school dance but absolutely amazing because it produces the best beats and sounds ever for the club. Rush Hour, on the other hand (by Armin van Buuren, the worlds 3rd greatest dj) is looking at more modern dance, and how it can be adapted to life, as the name suggests. Dj Melodie is my favourite DJ, and also my favourite artist, she, instead of using the more traditional method like Tiesto, is a little like Cascada but instead produces a great voice ( her own ), which fit in with great beats that fit in with the songs tune and many layers of music.

Slayer- Raining Blood- Possibly the greatest intro riffs ever and then some heavy and fast as **** song work following it.
Up next, Deviate from the Form by Scar Symmetry, melodic death metal, awesome if you like brilliant guitar work and solos.

The Samurai Champloo soundtrack. So far I've got 2 out of the (4?) CDs that make up the most amazing soundtrack ever. I'm especially in love with the artist nujabes. It's hip-hop. But not like today's American hip-hop, which is mainly (and I'm sorry to say this) crap. Most of the songs don't even have lyrics to them. The beats just...take my breath away. To me, they are the true definition of "cool." Yeah, the Japanese really know how to make some mean hip-hop. And if you have no clue what I'm trying to say, then why don't you just take a listen?

I've been listening to Maroon 5's second album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long. Listening to this album makes me want to dance as it provides much more power and emotion than the last album did, Songs About Jane. Most people probably have listened to Makes Me Wonder, since its been playing on the radio frequently, but Little of Your Time is faster and provides more fun in my opinion.
Top 5 from It Won't Be Soon Before Long:
1 - Little of Your Time
2 - If I Never See Your Face Again
3 - Makes Me Wonder
4 - Wake Up Call
5- Won't Go Home Without You
I would definitely recommend this album to people who love Pop/Funk/Rock and/or are into fun music. =D

"Seasons in the Abyss" - Slayer
I've got into Slayer alot recently, and I can't believe that I hadn't been listening to them for all this time. This is personally one of my favorite songs by them, addictive, a somewhat soothing introduction and ecstatic guitar solo(s). For the most part the music contrasts nicely and the vocals fit with the sound - my brother isn't a fan of metal and he can even be caught headbanging to it . Overall, it's an awesome song and definitely a hit to my favorites list.

"Children of Decadence" - Children of Bodom
One of my favourite tracks from the "Follow the Reaper" album. The introduction possesses a mystical feel to it, and the chorus is amazing in instrumental terms. There's also a nice guitar solo.
Overall - 9.5 / 10

Above the Winter Moonlight - Dragonforce
One of the many awesome songs by Dragonforce. As always, it has great/long guitar solos and it has a glorious melody, as well as lyrics which match the sonority of the song perfectly. Imo, the best song from their Sonic Firestorm album.

Kim Wilde: Close
It's a tape that my mom has had for a while I think, but I'm a fan of older music anyway (Abba, The Beatles, The Seekers, etc.). I'm not sure where it's from, could be somewhere in England since that's where I used to live.
Currently playing is "Hey Mister Heartache". (Yay, my favorite).
My favorite bit, the chorus:
Hey Mr Heartache, how much can you fake?
How many hearts break, before you get enough?
Hey Mr Heartache, you don't give you just take.
I hope for your sake, you don't turn your back on love.
There's naturally more songs, and more in them, but putting down all of those would probably be a little too much.
Edit: Wow, I'm a Pokefan now. *runs off to open a bottle of chocolate sauce* (too young for champagne )

Across the Universe by that guy from the "Across the Universe" movie (John Sturgess, I think it is).
I'm not usually a fan of covering songs that I like the originals too, but for some reason, I REALLY like this version. Maybe it's because the scene from the movie plays, or maybe it's 'cause what's-his-face sings it his own way instead of trying to sound like Lennon. Either way, it's quite a nice arrangment.
