Likes: Heavy metal, Power metal, Symphonic metal, Speed/Shred metal, [Technical]Death metal, Melodic Death metal, Black metal, Progressive metal, Neo-classical metal, Thrash metal, Groove metal, Melodic Metalcore (but not the crap on the Radio or TV), NWOBHM, Hard rock, Experimental rock, some Grunge, some Post-grunge

In short, almost any metal influenced genre.

Hates: Indie rock, Alternative rock, Funk rock/metal, Punk, Pop-Punk, R'n'B, Reggae, Dance, Pop, Rap (besides Fort Minor, perhaps), Rapcore, Nu-metal, and most modern mainstream in general.

I like J-pop, J-Rock, anything related to rock for most part.

Dislike rap, only rap I like was Bone Thugs N' Harmony.

Like: Old punk (I'm talkin' Clash, man), classic rock (Led Zeppelin ftw), basically, most old/slightly new rock in general.
Dislike: Country, Death Metal, some Folk.
Hate: Rap, Pop (or what ever you'd call that junk with morons like Britney Spears throwing their whiny voices around), most of that poser pop/punk BS, and basically most things you hear on popular radio stations.

I can't believe everyone dislikes Rap so much Having said that i expect many aren't exposed to stuff that isn't played on the radio. Some Awesome Rap/Hip-Hop: Jurassic 5, Dalek, The Pedestrian.

But yeah my main i love is anything ridiculously heavy (Pig Destroyer, The Abominable Iron Sloth, Converge are examples). But can usually find at least one good band in any genre. Except RnB. That's a pretty poor genre.

I listen to almost anything.. I like some Techno, Enya (Don't remember that type of music) Sometimes Bob Marley, Old Rock and 80's music..

What i hate is Rap, Because most of those lyrics just reflect that the author is selfish, stupid and shallow.. Like 50 cent and Eminem.. Snoop Dog and that.. They just blow..

Favorite: Hip Hop/Pop

Least Favorite: Death Metal or whatever you call it. The music when all you hear is a demonic voice screaming the entire song.

i like emo-ish stuff, and old-school rap. yes, i do. alternative, also.

I dislike RAP(retards attempting poetry no offense ppl who like rap its just my opinion.) And Country (also known as redneck singers we just call them country singers becuase its more respectful also no offense to ppl who like country or ne thing its just my opnioin and my cousin Chad told me this one.)

I like most types of music...but I can't stand opera, country isn't my fav either, although I do like a selcet few country songs. I am willing to listen to anything once, just tell me what's good and I'll listen to it!

Most rock music, but not too heavy though I don't like many Indie bands either. I like some music from the 80's that I guess I know because of my parents. I do like a bit of country rock, not country - country, lol.
I really, really hate dance; R 'N' B and rap music. It's just like "wtf?" - most dance songs don't have words and sound cr*p anyway; rap music doesn't make sense, (I don't think it's anything like poetry!), and also sounds cr*p and although some R 'N' B songs have O.K. lyrics, the fact that it's R 'N' B makes it suck because they all also sound cr*p.

Favourites: Hair Metal, Glam Rock, Hard Rock, Rock, Country, Blues.

Hates: Emo, Hardcore, Black/Death Metal, Rap, Hip-Hop, Indie.

I like everything around Rock and Heavy, as long as it doesn't have a pretty negative meaning, which includes emo bands (don't like their lyrics one bit).
I like one genre that belongs to only one band called Dragonforce, and it's Extreme Power Metal, I think the sonority seriously rocks, the long solos and the extremely positive lyrics attract me heavily.
