I paced around the room, letting out my pokemon, waiting for Ray to finish.

Gary sighed and looked at his watch. He looked over and saw that the others were already asleep. "Hmmm..." He looked around again and saw a row of doors. He looked at them inquisitively and left to examine them.

I was only pretending to be asleep. Seeing Gary look away, I smiled and got up, sneaking up behind him. I leaned very close behind him, so that if he turned around, he would see me right in front of his face.

((Speaking of pranking Gary...Jimmy, you should post in the rp for going into the past thing....))

Gary continued to walk down the long corridor. He could hear light steps behind him and made a swift pivot to see Kiki directly behind him. "Whoa! Where did you come from!?" He jumped at least three feet in the air. "I honestly didn't even hear you come up." His heart was pounding.

((I just don't want to take up all the space being SS hasn't even posted yet. [And its been like 4 days])

((Sorry, I stayed home from school today cuz I was sick. Yay, splitting headaches...))

"Alright then. Sparky, I choose you!"

"A Pikachu, huh? I guess I choose you Starmie!" The Pokemon jumped into the water, and disappeared. "How about a 1-on-1. If you can beat Starmie, you get the Cascade Badge. Fair?"

A Starmie? "I guess. Sparky, use Thunderbolt on the water!"

Piiika-chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! Electricity began to dance along the surface of the water, as a dark shape floated to the top.

"Starmie, use Swift!" Sparky didn't even have a chance to dodge it. He was sent hurtling into the water. "Perfect." She grinned. Sparky was playing on her terms now.

"Grrrrr. Sparky, use Thunderbolt!" Lightning raced towards the Starmie, but it jumped out of the water, dodging it. "Quick Attack, Sparky!" The Pikachu pulled itself onto the island, then charged into the Starmie, sending it into the wall.

"I guess you win. It won't be so easy next time, kid. The next gym leader specializes in electric-type Pokemon. So here's your Cascade Badge."

Ray walked out of the room, grinning from ear to ear, showing his badge. "Easy as pie."

I giggled. "Gotcha!" I smiled widely. "What are you up to?" (Let's pretend as if ray had finished his battle, and later he can make up what had happened during it.) "I mean, it is nighttime, and everyone is asleep, so what were you doing?" I stared at him, my head close to his, giving him no escape. He had to answer my questions now.

Gary turned red at how close she had gotten to him. "I was just...uh...exploring the gym..." He heard a door shut and Ray cheer. "That must be him!" Gary tried to run past Kiki but bumbed into her. "Oh um...sorry." He helped her up as the two made their way back to the main room. "Geez, its about time!" Gary teased him lightly. You guys wanna rest up before we hit the next city?"

"I don't think we have much of a choice." I said, looking away. Kon and Jason were fast asleep, and I yawned. "Gee, and I'm still wide awake..." I mumbled. I continued to stand in my spot, and waited for the others to sit down and fall asleep.

Ray sat down, Sparky curled up into a ball on his lap. He didn't want to go to sleep, but he knew he had to. "So, when are we leaving?"

I shrugged, and continued to stand, looking at Gary, with the look on my face telling him to sit down. I've always had this crazy notion to fall asleep after others so late at night. I didn't know why, but I did.

Ray couldn't fall asleep. He stood up, and asked Kiki, "Do you want to go for a walk? I can't sleep."

Gary looked out the winodws into the darkness. "First thing in the morning. It's pretty late now. We really should get some sleep for now, even if we need to use your Wigglytuff." He turned to Ray. "We're gonna need al the energy we can get. Same for our pokemon." Gary stretched and gave a light yawn.

I nodded gratefully. I gave one last glare to my crutches, laying useless on the ground by a random wall, and went outside. I sighed in relief. The air was nice and warm, with a cool breeze. The perfect weather. A full moon shone in the sky, and I smiled.

"I can tell something was bothering you back there. Do you mind telling me what it was?" Ray stuck his hand in his pocket and pulled out a toothpick.

"Someone moved my crutches." I frowned. "They wee by the tree we were at once Rahl had evolved, and I felt like someone was watching me the whole back. Those crutches...they don't feel right. I don't want to use them. They have this..." I held my arms, as if I was cold, and shuddered. "This feeling on them. Like...I don't know how to explain it, but now I don't trust those inanimate objects." I said curtly.

"Do you want me to have a look at them? I'm sure if I don't see anything Rahl would."

I nodded. "They are inside. Whenever I touch them...they feel weird."

Gary woke up and gazed out the window of the center. They're still gone... He rubbed his eyes and looked at the others. Kon was toppled over on Jason who had made good use of his arm rest. Gary smiled tiredly and checked his watch. It's still early yet, maybe I should stay and watch for Kiki and Ray. He sat back in his chair lazily and continued to watch as the sun came up over the horizon.

Kon rolled off the bench she had been using as a bed, and hit her head on the floor. She woke up, rubbing her head while muttering about a Mr. Mime taking away her tea. Kon looked up and saw Gary sitting in the chair, awke and looking out the window. She got back up and went over to him, saying "Hi Gary. So, how're you doing?"

Gary waved his arm at her while he yawned. "Pretty good, pretty good. Nurse Joy said that our pokemon should be better in an hour or so." He looked over at her as she smiled politely. "THat, and I'm waiting for the other two to get back...no clue where they headed off to...just waiting. How about you?"

I walked back into the center/gym, dragging a half-sleeping Ray. I pulled him to the bench and pushed him down, frowning. I then took my crutches and put them on one side of the room, and sat down on the the other side. I yawned and rubbed my eyes. "Good morning, Kon, Gary." I waved, and then looked at them. "Can I sleep now?" I asked, but closed my eyes anyways.

Gary stood up and greeted them. "Nice to have ya back. And sure..you can sleep...but what were you doing all night?" Gary looked at the two confused and shrugged. "Sure, take a nap. But make it a fast one." He laughed as he spoke. "After you wake up we should wake up Jason as well."

I nodded, and pretended that I hadn't heard Gary's question. I fell asleep.
