"Ooh, could you tell the one about the absol who dies a horrible, painful death in the end?" begged Pandora cheerfully. Cassius ignored them both.

"There's one I could tell, I think, that came from a forest not too far from here" he said. "I heard it from a traveling gastly years ago as he passed through Lavender, and I must admit it's one of the best I know."

"Ohhh," said the young woman. "A ghost story from an actual ghost." If only she knew...

"I always like to hear the stories when the Haunter gets the stuffing beat out of him by the Absol." Ginger smirked. "But wait--I already heard that one!"

"Since Godfather did all the work last time, I'll let Suzaku make the fire tonight." The released the Blaziken. "Think you could--?" He nodded before the trainer could finish her request, and then began gathering together wood for a fire.

"Well, I guess the story starts with a young trainer who was traveling the Hoenn region. He'd just been through a small town, where the inhabitants warned him about the path ahead. It seemed there was a pokemon cemetery about half a day's walk from the town, and rumour had it the ghosts there could get very, very upset when disturbed" began Cassius, sitting down near where the fire pokemon had begun to set up camp. Pandora grinned, floating over to his trainer and very subtly taking one of the pokeballs from Cassius' belt.

((Sorry I poofed for so long. I was trying to see how long it would take to drive to my future college.))

Sidney refrained from interrupting Cassius this time, not wanting to spoil the mood like she had almost done several times before. She bit her lip. Problem was, it was really hard for her to pull it off.

Ginger, on the other hand...

"Oh, I think I've heard this one before!" she disrupted. "Let me guess. He's doesn't care and goes anyway, then--" Suzaku shot her a sharp look, pausing in his task. "Eh, nevermind. Please continue."

The Blaziken stacked up the wood into a neat pile, and with one touch, a blazing fire hungrily engulfed the organic material.

"Actually, that's quite right Ginger- as with most of these stories, the whole incident could have been avoided if he'd had a little more respect for the dead. Anyways, this kid set out at noon or so, and by and by he had to stop for camp. The graveyard was, of course, a convenient camping spot, and so he stopped to sleep there for the night. He gathered some stones for a campfire circle, and since he couldn't find enough, he used some of the smaller grave markers in their place" he continued, smiling a little. It was taking a fair bit of on the spot editing to turn a ghost story meant for a ghost audience into a ghost story meant for humans.

Suzaku moved up next to Sidney, sitting down Indian-style. He eyed the balls on the trainer's belt, wondering if the others were listening to the story as well.

"What a complete moron," Ginger said quietly, shaking her head.

((I'm writing this story as I go, and I'm not positive how it ends, so my apologies if posts take awhile ^.^; ))

"As the trainer set up his sleeping stuff, he heard a noise. It started as nothing more than a whisper, but as he listened the trainer thought he could hear words in the moaning. The trainer shuddered, and despite his disbelief, he decided to check around to find the source of the noise. 'It's probably just the wind' he reasoned when he found nothing, and he went back to gathering wood for a fire."

((S'fine. Winging is fun. ^^))

"Pfft. Just the wind. As if!" Ginger, naturally. "He should burn in that fire for being so stupid."

"Shut your trap! We're trying to listen!" the bird snorted. Sidney gave the Absol a warning look too, and the Pokemon sighed, finally listening to the story.

"Well, the second time he heard a noise, the trainer was most definitely frightened. It was more than just the wind, it was a voice- no, many voices. 'Let us free, let us free' they hissed, and the trainer jumped up to investigate again. He searched all around the outskirts of camp, shining his flashlight over every gravestone he could see, but even after that he couldn't find the source of the noise. Humans are amazingly talented at rationalizing the inexplicable, and after ten minutes of searching, the trainer decided it had been nothing more than his imagination."

Meanwhile, just far enough into the forest to be out of sight, Pandora had snuck off with the pokeball. He flicked the button, releasing Godfather, who looked rather confused by the situation. "He's telling the burning one" explained Pandora, "except he's changing it so it's for humans, and I've got a great idea to spice it up a little…"

His eyes flash open..and looks around.
"Thank for the lift Alakazam, come back"
Ronald sees Mike and walks towards him...
"hello Mike, hows it hangin ?"

((I'm not sure how to reply to your post, Aquarius, because it seems rather unrealistic. Your character has been out of the picture for eighteen pages or so, and now they pop up with little explanation and ask "how's it hanging" of a person they barely know. As a reader, I have no idea if you mean this to sound casual and friendly, as if the psychic is used to speaking to strangers by name, creepy and stalkerish as if this weird trainer has been following the group the whole time and just now chooses to show himself, or something else altogether. Descriptive words are your friends.

You'll probably need to edit your post to expand it if you'd like to hop back in, or you could always wait for the next roleplay to start, or start one of your own.))

I would really like to be part of this RPG, but I don't have that much time to get online (school, or like last week, vacation), and when I do get online, it's difficult to re enter.
so....could you guys play as my character sometimes, and I'll do my part as much as possible...
This way, you all have an extra player, and I can still compete in this RPG

((Since there are two people here not currently involved in the game, who both want to roleplay, this looks like an exceptionally good time for one of them to create a new game- the roleplays are spreading ))

The black-haired ninja wrung her scarf in trepidation, watching Cassius through the long tongues of flames. Every feature of her face told that she was in extreme suspence.

Ginger rolled her eyes, casting a glance at Sidney's bag. She didn't really eat her lunch and a berry sounded good right about now. But she noticed something else while looking around. That Pandora guy was missing. Bah, dumb ghost was proabably off exploring the woods. Being one of Cassius' Pokemon, he must've heard this story a hundred times by now. He was none of her concern.

Mike was in quite a lot of suspence as well, wanting Cassius to continue the story. "Hm..maybe my Pokemon would want to hear this too...eh, why not?", he thought. Then, and several flashes of shiny, red light, his 6 elecric amigos appeared.

5 of them sat near their trainer, but Lighhouse took this time to wander off into the woods, for a walk. "The Ampharos just gets weirder and weirded.", Mike thought.

((Yup, the story killed me. But all my characters here have died at one point or another, and they seem to be doing okay, so I think I'll manage.))

"It took the trainer three tries to light his fire, and with each match that blew out in wind, the wailing began again, louder and closer than ever. He huddled closer to his fire, but the nearer he was to the light, the louder the voices seemed to get. 'The light, the light!' the voices cried, and the trainer thought that his fire was keeping the ghosts away.

"Unfortunately, he had forgotten about the gravestones he'd used for the fire ring. You see one of them had a large crack running through it, and as the fire heated the various stones that had been used to make it, the crack began to widen. Without warning, the stone gave way, and the trainer jumped back as a flaming specter leapt from the gravestone that had imprisoned him!"

One had to hand it to Pandora and Godfather, given the amount of planning time they'd had, their execution was very well done. Pandora leapt from the trees just as Cassius reached the climax of the story, with Godfather behind using his flamethrower attack to provide special effects for the "flaming ghost". Maiden, who was floating beside Cassius, just sighed- they clearly expected her to play firefighter after this little stunt of theirs.

((Edit: My sincere apologies for the rather mediocre ghost story. Cassius is supposed to be good at these, and I'm not a great horror writer, so just pretend it sounds spooky ))
