I remember making something like that way back when I didn't know when the guides even existed. It was one of my first posts on Psypoke. Heh, memories.
You can find it here.
Using the site or my post, it matters not - just so long as you get your answers.

Linking Moves
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon introduces a new battling mechanic known as move-linking. This allows you to link up two or more moves to be used consecutively in a specific order when in battle, saving you several turns in battle as well as preventing the enemy from making any response to your first move used.
While linking up moves can be powerful, it also depletes the PP of each linked move each time you execute a particular combo. When the PP of all moves in the combo are depleted, the moves become separated. As such, care has to be taken when using combos so as to prevent such a scenario. Generally, combos are recommended only for Boss Battles, so that PP would not be wasted on single wild Pokemon which can be easily defeated without the use of such combos.
Linking Up at the Gulpin Shop
Outside of dungeons, you can link up moves any time at the Gulpin Shop, which is found in Pokemon Square.
Select to Proceed once you speak to Gulpin. This will lead you to a menu displaying all the moves that your Pokemon knows. The bottom window would display shortcuts such as using the R button and the keypad to shift the order of the moves.
Select a move and choose "Link" to link it up with the move below it in the menu. For instance, choosing to Link Bubble would link it up with Bite. By choosing to link the Bubble-Bite combo, you will then link these two moves to Ice Beam, resulting in a three-move combo. The screenshot below shows two combos: Bubble-Bite and Ice Beam-Surf.
When you're done with all the linking up and all other changes, simply press B and exit the shop.
The Link Box
It is also possible to link up moves without Gulpin's aid when you are in dungeons. To do so, you will need a Link Box, an item which allows you to link and delink moves.
The process of linking up moves is the same as that at the Gulpin Shop, although you are unable to relearn nor forget any moves. Simply select "Link" to link a move with the next move.
Linked Moves in Battle
As afore-mentioned, linked moves would be used consecutively without giving the enemy any pause to respond to you. For instance, the screenshot below shows Squirtle using the Bubble-Bite combo on a wild Phanpy.
Move Combos
With this new mechanic, it is possible to come up with many move combos which would inflict maximum damage on your foe. Typically, a stat-lowering move followed by attacks would be the most effective way to deal damage. Tail Whip followed by Bonemerang and Screech followed by Body Slam are but two examples of combos which you can try. Alternatively, link up four high-damage attacks together and use the entire combo on an enemy Boss. It is up to you to experiment for yourself which combos work best for your purposes. Good luck!

I am skipping all these.
SN0wBaLL, thanks for writing this guide! Now you solved my only sutpidity in PMD!!
Now I gotta test linking on my level 1 Pokes and then rearrage my high level Pokes' movesets.
Oh wait, one thing concerning that "Group Safety" hidden tactic...
I think I should experiment that with my group of Nidrans since they are of the same species. (male of female, I experiment either one gender group.)

Sure, go experiment with the hidden tactics. Even I am not too sure what exactly they imply =x

Hmmm. To be honest, I haven't decided if I will write up guides for PMD2, since I haven't even got the game... yet, that is. I also haven't decided if I am to continue writing guides for PMD1, now that PMD2 is out.
