I've clocked a lot of hours on sonic DX, and have spent a good amount of time in the chao garden. I have a few chaos, I only train one though. Its levels are pretty high (I don't recall the numbers exactly, but I know it's best stat is the "run stat". The best part about the chao garden is the races, for sure. Although there is not much you can really do during the races, except cheer your chao on, they can still be rather exciting (I think I won all of the jewel races).
I'm not exactly sure what bags you are talking about, but it's probably something for your chao to wear over its head.
On a side note, how many emblems have you collected overall? I've got 120 (which unlocks Sonic Drift 2, a very fun game), and I have not bothered trying to get the last 10, it's just going to be too difficult, although unlocking Metal Sonic does make it seem worth it...

The correct answer to this topic is "lol Sonic the Hedgehog games after 3D Blast".
Another acceptable answer would be "why the hell do people keep buying Sonic games".

Sonic Riders and Sonic Rush, though, were waaaaaaaaay too kiddy.
Not lololol, but below expectations. Like a step backward.

Man, I hated Shadow the Hedgehog... it was so boring, and like mostly all 3D Sonic games, difficult to control. All you do in them is being to run fast, then run into something. They you jump and bonk it in the head. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I liked Sonic and the Secret Rings, but I HATED the cutscenes. I knew I'd hate the cutscenes, because I hate Sonic (that dirty blue hedge-butt-hog), but they were even worse than I expected. Also it got annoying if you missed something, and had to walk backwards. You CAN'T SEE WHERE YOU'RE GOING!! You usually die by walking into a spiked ball or something.
