HP Grass isnt classified as a 'Grass' type move, it only has the effects of a Grass move. It's actual type is Normal, whom is Physical. So you cant Mirror Coat Hidden Power I guess. You can Counter it though.

i remember torturing a with this one
@ docile and trace and chesto berry
rest
thunderpunch
dig
water pulse
hehe use thunderpunch to turn it electric(if its a kecleon) and possibly paralyze then dig to turn it ground(if its a kecleon) then water pulse to water(if kecleon) it then repeat and use rest if necessary you will wake up automatically because of the chesto. try 'er out.
if youre fighting something else then you have a type advantage against most things

Does this mean HP Grass uses the Attack stat?
I'll give a couple rates,
ShadowFlygon's Ninetales: You know you can't Burn and Toxic a foe right?
Other than that it's pretty standard, Flamethrower and Will-O-Wisp are always in the standard and sometimes Confuse Ray or Roar.
ShadowFlygon's Tyranitar: T-Tar have 2 common weaknesses, Fighting and Water (Steel and Grass aren't very common), this one kinda sets up T-Tar to be Surfed. And don't forget about the annoying Mirror Coating Waters (Corsola, Suicune, Blastoise, etc.). Though I think this one should be tested to see how it works, if T-Tar has enough Special Attack to OHKO most waters.
sanctuary's Furret: Furret's Special attack isn't too good, if I remember right, it's about 200 max. And the odds of having the foe a Kecleon aren't very high, and most Kecs have Swill Swap and Brick Break, which kind of screws your set. Furret also doesn't have "Trace" as an ability.
steinerrecliner's Snorlax: Could work, though I like Body Slam better than Return, since it can paralyze, which Snorlax probably needs to badly (Speed is a problem with Snorlax). I think this one needs testing.

This probably isn't that creative but
EVs: 252 SA(attack if you use double-edge as an attack move) 252 SD 6HP
Moveset:
Spikes (I know, standard)
Surf/Ice Beam/Double Edge (again, kinda standard)
Hail
Toxic/Rest
Item:Leftovers (In any case really), Shell Bell (If you use double edge)

Sorry, but you said it yourself - it isn't too creative for a Cloyster.
WPM, you can go ahead and test those that RL have rated and given the green light for testing.

Have you the ready-ness for THIS?!
@ Lefties | Ability: Sand Veil | Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Speed; 129 Def.; 129 Sp. Def.
~Sand Tomb
~Sandstorm
~Toxic
~Double Team
Super you-can't-hit-me Gligar! Sandstorm first, then Sand Tomb, then Toxic, then D-Team. Your opponent's chance of hitting a Steelix 2 feet in front of it are low.

Some one posted one similar to that only with Guillotine instead of Toxic, nice try though.

I found another maybe,
@ Leftovers
Nature = -Attack + Defense
EVs - 252 Defense, 252 Special Defense, 6 Special Attack.
Encore
Thunder Wave
Thunderbolt
Swagger
Yes I know, almost exactly the same as the Standard, but it's different strategy. Start with Thunder Wave, Now Raichu should be faster than any other poke. Now you can use Thunderbolt on it. Attack until they use a non-damaging move (like Swords Dance, Light Screen, etc.) and use Encore.
While it's trapped using Encore, use Swagger multiple times to maximize attack and to confuse, the only thing you have to watch out for are Ground Types and ones with Lum Berries. And of course the Common EQs.
This set worked great when I used it in GSC, My LV.50 Pichu knocked out all of the E4, only fainting 5 times total (Pichu has horrid stats, it had like 70 Specials, 90 speed, 50 defense, you get the idea).
You could probably use Pika @ Light Ball for this too.
(T-Tar surprisingly has decent Special Attack to pull off the other set , maybe it will work afterall.)

I think this is a bit more creative, but then again I'm not rating it, because I made it.
EVs: 126 A, 126 SA, 252 SD 6 D (Give opinions about EV placement as well)
Moveset:
EQ (standard, but needed for STAB)
Shadow ball
Thunderbolt/Roar (if they start double teaming)/Taunt (so they can't double team in the first place)
Surf
Item: Shell Bell
Strategy: EQ is used to get STAB, Shadow Ball is for Psychics, I'm using Thunderbolt and Surf (it's SA isn't that bad actually) are to take out Water and Ground types. The only weakness this can't beat is the ice weakness. I'm making thunderbolt changeable because that can't hit as many types as is needed, so if Roar is used instead, it can act as a pseudohazer, if Taunt is used, then it can't use any stat-raisers or other non-damage moves.
(Question, would Taunt stop Baton Pass from working? I've yet to try this but I was wondering if you guys knew. If it did, I have an idea for another set.)

Hidden Power is weird. Yes it's a Normal move. Yes you can Counter it. But calculation of damage is done depending on the type produced from the Pokemon's DVs. In other words, a Grass Hidden Power works off the Special Attack/Defense stats. And yes, I just checked, my Altaria with Electric Hidden Power dealt more damage once I had used Growth 6 times (Gameshark).
Incidently, Pink Bow (And the other Normal attack boosting items) will give Hidden Power a 10% bonus.

Taunt would stop Baton Pass.
Alirght, I got NetBattle back on, so I can test again. I'll start with the ones from way back before I disappeared to catch up, then once I finish those I'll start helping WPM.
Anyway, 2 Octillery sets:
 @Leftovers
Adamant
252ATT, 129HP, 129SPDEF
Curse
Return
Rock Blast/Sludge Bomb/HP Flying
Rock Blast/Sludge Bomb/HP Flying
Physical Octillery? Definitely a surprise. Attack is the same as Sp. Attack, so it's no big difference. Curse Up, then sweep away. Suction Cups, incidentally, helps to block against Roar/Whirlwinders.
 @Leftovers
+Sp. Atk, -Att
252SPATT, 129HP, 129SPDEF
Constrict
Lock-On
Zap Cannon
Surf
Well, different. First, trap them with Constrict. Then load Lock-On, then Zap Cannon them with nowhere to run. Then hose them down with Surf. For Grounds, just Surf.

Hopefully I'm not slipping in my old age...
 @ Lefties | Adamant
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
~Confuse Ray (Yes, he can learn it)
~Rock Slide
~Fury Cutter
~HP Ground/Attract
Confuse 'em (And Attract 'em , if you feel insecure) , then Fury Cutter until you miss. Rock Slide for STAB, and HP Ground for Type Weaknesses (Steel and Electric)
I am the mastah!

I'll rate the two Octilleries for now... I like both actually. Regarding the second one, I always thought Constrict doesn't trap the enemy; it's only Wrap and Bind that traps. Please enlighten me, and you can begin testing both of them after that

Another bad set:
moves:
Mirror move
Mimic
Return
Drillpeck
Strategy: It's all about move stealing. Mirror move is used whenever you think a stat-upper or a status move is going to be used. Mimic is a way of stealing moves for a bit longer but having to keep that move until KO'ed or switched out (try and get recover or heal bell or T-Wave or something like that). I added Return and Drillpeck for STAB.
EV placement: 252 in both defence stats and 6 in Attack.

Some changes on my CBFlareon, a few pages back.
 @ Choice Band
Return
Hidden Power Fire
Shadow Ball
Quick Attack
Exp: I switched Overheat with Hidden Power Fire because CB raises the Attack stat with 150%, and since Hidden Power is normal type it will raise it's power. + You will not lose Special Attack. Shadow Ball speaks for itself. Quick attack for those subflailers n shyt.

Oh, silly me. Yeah, it's Wrap that does. They always were similiar.
Anyway, I personally prefer the first one.

utely no idea how this will turn out.
 /
Sandstorm
Sand Attack
Double Team
Something that hits (Giga Drain/ EQ repectively)
EDIT: You don't have to count this one cos i just saw another one just like it earlier. Sry.
Dragon Dance
Return
Toxic
Hyper Beam
Pretty simple. Return to your heart's content. Hyper Beam just before you go down.
Or maybe not...

But since you have Choice Band you can't guard against thos as well because you only get to use the move you first chose, namely HP Fire. But i'm not sure if you can choose a new attack if you switch out. Can the raters test this while they're at it?
