...Lol, not that I care what people listen to, but any 'self-respecting rock fan' wouldn't listen to Good Charlotte. I respect the fact that people like different tastes, but those guys are just ridiculous. They really try to be hard, but they're just an embarrassment.

That picture just says it all.
I'm listening to:

Bat Country - Avenged Sevenfold
This song has the coolest (imo) drums. I just love it, going from hyper to calm, the hyper. Instrumentally, I love it, the guitar solos are awesome. The lyrics might get emo at some point but wth. It's about his guy who gets dumped in Vegas.
He who makes a beast out of himself
Gets rid of the pain of being a man
Caught here in a fiery blaze, won't lose my will to stay.
I tri-ie-ied to drive all through the night,
The heat stroke ridden weather, the barren empty sights.
No oasis here to see, the sand is singing deathless words to me.
Can't you help me as I'm startin' to burn (all alone).
Too many doses and I'm starting to get an attraction.
My confidence is leaving me on my own (all alone).
No one can save me and you know I don't want the attention.
As I-I-I adjust to my new sights the rarely tired lights will take me to new heights.
My hand is on the trigger I'm ready to ignite.
Tomorrow might not make it but everything's all right.
Mental fiction follows me; show me what it's like to be set free.
Can't you help me as I'm startin' to burn (all alone).
Too many doses and I'm starting to get an attraction.
My confidence is leaving me on my own (all alone).
No one can save me and you know I don't want the attention.
I'm sorry you're not here I've been sane too long my vision's so unclear.
Now take a trip with me but don't be surprised when things aren't what they seem.
Caught here in a fiery blaze, won't lose my will to stay.
These eyes won't see the same, after I flip today.
(guitar solo)
Sometimes I don't know why we'd rather live than die,
We look up towards the sky for answers to our lives.
We may get some solutions but most just pass us by,
Don't want your absolution cause I can't make it right.
I'll make a beast out of myself, gets rid of all the pain of being a man.
Can't you help me as I'm startin' to burn (all alone).
Too many doses and I'm starting to get an attraction.
My confidence is leaving me on my own (all alone).
No one can save me and you know I don't want the attention.

Hehe, I just found one of the best summer songs ever, by the pretty much unknown Tristan Prettyman:
I'm not surprised that you still call
I'm not surprised
I'm more surprised that i don't answer
pick up the phone to call you back
pick up the phone to call you back
ain't it funny how things work out like that
'cause the time that it takes to open my eyes
is the time that it took me to realize
madly madly madly
well tell me that you need me
show me I'm the only and thats all i need to know.
madly madly madly
well if you really love me,
when you see me leavin' baby, just let me go
well i've been good, no i've been great
you say you're in a better place
and honestly, i'm happy for ya
but there's a tone in my voice that gives away my selfish choice.
can my heart beat any faster?
'cause the time that it takes to pass me by
is the time that it took me to realize
madly madly madly
well tell me that you need me
show me I'm the only and thats all i need to know
madly madly madly
well if you really love me,
when you see me leavin' baby, just let me go
we give it up, try to find
what was with us all the time
gotta lose some things, if you're ever gonna get on by
and who was wrong, who was right
always end up in a fight
i thought i'd crumble, but now I find...
madly madly madly
if you really love me
when you see me leavin' just let me go
madly madly madly
well tell me that you need me
show me I'm the only and that's all i need to
know know know know
madly madly madly
well if you really love me
when you see me leavin' baby just let it go-no
madly madly madly
well tell me that you love me
when you see me leavin' baby
just let me go
I love this song, and it was FREE on iTunes!!

Stripped, Raped and Strangled - Cannibal Corpse.
Classic song, and I prefer Barnes' vocals to Fisher's anyday. Probably their best song.

Many people think I'm weird because of this, but I actually like japanese.
Right now I'm listening to UVERworld, some other japanese artists that I like are Yui, Utada Hikari, and Colors of the Heart.
So mostly japanese rock and pop.
Other than that I really like Evanescence!!
Just for the record, Amy Lee is NOT emo. The lyrics to her songs are not just "my life's horrible, can't wait for death!"
They have meaning behind then and they represent so much of what some people go through.
Who knows, maybe her lifes the best ever, and she has no problems. Maybe she's on the brink of sucicide.
Idk, but either way they're awsome and show what some people go through.

I can't understand a word any of them are saying.
Currently, Underoath is playing on my speakers, however usually the Laputa Soundtrack or maybe even Motion City Soundtrack. :D

Teeth The Size Of Piano Keys - Chiodos
Ahh, I love Chiodos. Even though their song titles are a bit... weird. Like "If I Cut My Hair, Hawaii Will Sink". I mean, come on...

Tantric-Down and Out
The lyrics are dark but they have a deep meaning that I love. It sounds great too.

Hunger Strike - Temple Of The Dog
I love Chris Cornell, but I need more of his music. This song is a really good one, and it gives me a nostalgic feeling because when I was a baby I used to hear it so much in the car with my mom.

I love Maroon 5, and I know what you mean. The whole Rihanna thing with "If I ever see your face again" was pretty bad. I liked it the way it was without her...
Anyway. I'm playing "Super Trouper" by Abba. I really love this song because it has a happy tone with it and it has a nice beat. I read about what it was originally written about but I have forgotten what that was.

Handlebars - Flobots
i love this song more than anything right now. it's funny, stupid and really, really addicting. if you haven't heard it yet, go listen to it NOW.
my favorite radio station used to play it all the time, but they took it off the air recently. probably because it has the word 'holocaust' in it, and some old lady called the station and complained.

Rihanna - Disturbia.
No matter how much I listen to it, I can't get it out of my head.
Same with "If I Never See Your Face Again".
Edit: Wow, Kasey, your song IS addicting. =O

Skillet- The Older I Get (Comatose)
I love this song, though it's not my favorite Skillet Song. It shows a hard style of rock and a mix of the musical beauty of classical music (which I listen to). As Skillet often does, it tells a story. This one is about a man who was wrongly dumped by his girlfriend, and he talks about how sad he is. And he asks, " The Older I Get, will I get over it? I'm spending way to long for the times we missed. I didn't know it would hurt like this."
Skillet, a christain rock group, is probably the best rock/metal/christain artists out there, next to Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapmen, Hillsongs United, Yellowcard, and Switchfoot.
If you're interested in giving them a listen, go to their myspace or website. I recomend several song, like Rebirthing, Whispers in the Dark, The Older I Get, Yours to Hold, and Live Free or Let Me Die.
I hope this didn't count as a free 1+, because I ran out of things to talk about without writing out all the lyrics.
