me and my friends are thinking of forming a band..me being lead singer , but we need a really cool band name, and seeing as we're a funny bunch, I'd like a funny name....or not. so here's a bunch I've already thought of, vote for the one you like, or suggest a new one...

probably all types of rock music...but after our first meeting yesterday..I realize that we all suck..except me seeing as all I'm doing is singing. but we'll get better....I hope *doubt*

Pay Less for Paradise sounds like a hardcore or screemo band name. Obsidian sounds sort of like a hard rock, maybe a hardcore band name. The Raincoats sounds sort of like a alternative band. No offense, but I think the rest sound kind of dumb.

Penguins with Umbrellas is a name for a Ska band. So if you are playing Ska, go with that, otherwise. Pay Less for Paradise

ok, let me explain each band...they don't all have elaborate explinations..but they should suffice.

1-pay less for paradise: speaks for it's self doesn't it?
2-blue pie: It expresses how something so unatural, can also be so delicious.
3-the arabian dragons: we're arab..and we like dragons; because dragons are the beasts of power.
4-obsidian: Glass that looks like stone; something that looks like something, but is really something else.
5-Penguins with umbrellas: Penguins live in the biggest desert in the world, meaning they never see rain, yet they still hide behind their umbrellas, hiding from something non-existant, something that they have no knowledge of. and even if they did, penguins are prone to water, so even if it did rain, it wouldn't hurt them.
6-bunnyland three: sorry, I don't have an explanation.
7-untitled: morta words cannot describe us...
8-four legged chicken: it just represents being different and unnatural, and I had a period where four legged chickens kept dancing in front of my eyes.
9-B-dude: we call one of my friends "B-dude" *shrug*
10-the raincoats: protection...

Obsidian probably has been done before, no offense, but arabian dragons just sounds... "childish", bunnyland three is just lol. untitled is too... well, it's not good. Blue Pie could work. Four Legged Chicken is not good. B-Dude is not good. The Raincoats is ... meh.

Never give up on your passion. :( I suppose if you were to give up because you weren't that interested in music, that might be the right choice, but being "good" has nothing to do with making great music. Talent is subjective; if you love your sound, chances are hundreds other will too.

Many people quit because they believe success will never come to them, but if everyone who believed so pushed on anyway, this world would be filled with far more talent than already present.

You should keep the band together anyways regardless of how much you suck. If you really care then you make it a priority to become good. Practicing in a group is way better than on your own so it will help you improve in that way. Also don't think for a minute (or even a second for that matter) that you will just magically get good enough on your own, you have to practice anyways so you might as well do it as a group.

Penguins for Paraides, Arabian Dragons, or the first one, those ones are myf avs. My friends and I want to make a random band, too, called 'Nerds that Run Fast' lol.Random stuff, like dressed like aliens, animals, Ninjas with glasses, 80s people, etc., and put random 'music videos' on YouTube. We talk about it but I dont think we'll ever do it.
