So you plan on doing it so most obviously its possible? So you can make things happen just bu wanting them, that must be nice. How does that work for you?
No, that's not how I meant it. In my opinion, if it has internet browsing etc., you should be able to use cahtboards etc., since you have to type in URLs in search boxes, and there must be some type of keyboard. If I didn't think I could use boards, I don't think I'd get a DSi.

Its not just an issue of whether or not you can axcess the site, the system may not have enough ram or the right program to run the site.
But its already been proven that message boards are in.

inb4 anyone says anything about this post. The following semi rant will be preceded with an OPINION ALERT.
My view on the DSi is this, to me it seems about every two years or so (give or take a couple of months) Nintendo comes out with some new form of console that changes a few things and adds and takes away features. Whether it is a handheld or actual console. The DSi is not excused from this pattern. They have added some cool things, like the camera, and web browser. They also took away the biggest feature from the DS away from me which is the GBA slot, inb4 anyone says "But there are loads of ways to play GBA games", no I pretty much have to use my DS to play GBA games because lets see I LACK A GBA AND I DON'T LIKE TO FIDDLE AROUND THAT MUCH WITH EMULATORS. I see the reasons why some people might want one, but to me its just to fall into what Nintendo does best, change up a product give it another name and send it back out to the masses which will more than likely buy it. As for myself I still use my old original phat DS which still works perfectly fine and I do not plan to ever buy a DSi. Unless my spleen was about to burst and the only way to prevent it from doing that was to buy a DSi then maybe we will talk.

I have already obtained one.
It is very, very good. Much better than the Ds lite.
I personally like the Wifi connection and the DSi store. Along with the Camera feature.
The menu is set up like the Wii's basically, but, I enjoy it.
Also, I am not sure if this is true, but the Touch pad works better in terms of writing for me. I can write much neater than I could with DS lite.

Beter touch-screen? That's what I need, my Lite's screen is all screwed up now, and I've been thinkin of getting a new DS since the top screen looks about ready to fall off.
Question: Is the top screen attached better to the base on the DSi than on the other 2? That seems to be why my friends' DSes broke, and mine is starting to fall apart, too. :/

Yes; unlike the original DS (DS phat), it's connected all the way across, wheras the original model had only select joints in the middle that came apart with wear. So yeah, it should stand the test of time better in that category (assuming you don't abuse your handhelds).
Iirc, the DS Lite is also connected all the way across. I don't own one myself though, so don't quote me on that one.

I only have a DS Lite, and it's starting to break on the sides, but if you don't have one it's hard to explain. I've only had it for 3 years. Was the original DS jointed like the GBA SP? Those joints held firmly, since they were solid, similar to a hinge.

Upon comparing the two, I noticed that it is a similar joint. However, the joint goes across the whole unit, wheras on the original DS, the join is only in the middle. The DS's top half is rather large, thus the reason why the joints tend to weaken and break more easily on this model.

I got it and I'd recomend the hell out of it. They're gonna make new games exclusivly/enhanced by it. it has a slightly better wireless reciever in my expirience. You can browse the internet for free. You get a sweet camera with cool lenses. It has a good voice recorder and sound editor. It has the ability to soft-reset the system, and hot-swap games. If you register it to the online DSI shop(free to register) before october(I believe) you get $10 worth of free downloads at the DSI shop. all these features are worth $40 extra and a missing gameboy slot(especialy if you have a sister you can steal a ds lite from, from time to time to use the pal park).
9.8/10

If this is true then I am screwed because I refuse to buy it, what is your source for this piece of information?

I sold my DS Lite and bought the DSi. Mostly because the dpad of my DSLite totally sucked. It was so not good to make diagonals in pokemon or to drive in Mario Kart...
I downloaded today the DSi browser. It is possible to make posts with it, but it might take a while to write. I got 1000 dsiware points for free (the european ds's get it, at least) and don't know if I buy Real soccer (8000 points ;_;) or if I'll just let the points there and wait till new games arrive. I wonder if nintendo will ever get the dsiware games prices lower.
The pictures features in the dsi are cool, but not enough, they could have put more stuff. The music/recording editing is really cool. Me and my friends have a lot of fun making weird sounds.
I really like its Dpad, comparing with the one in the dslite at least. This one is similar to the GBA SP dpad, which I like a lot.
The GAME's store clerk gave me 108€ for my DS and the DSi+2GB SD card costed me 65€
Too bad I won't be able to use the palpark anymore. I'll try, however to buy a fat DS when I it really cheap for that matter.

I used to have a white DS lite, but traded it in for a black DSi. I love this thing, and I am willing to look past the no GBA slot thing. Honestly, the only issue people seem to have with it is the no pal park thing. Me being me, I had lost any use for pal park about a few days after gaining access to it. System clock glitch FTW.
Besides, I know people who have DS lites, so if I REALLY need to use pal park, I can just ask to use their DS until I'm done.
The new additions are a nice upgrade. I love being able to have a lot of fun with a game system without having to stick a game in. However, if you are unsure if you should waste money and already own a DS, you may just want to save your money. If you have no problem paying the cost though, or you still don't own a DS, it's worth the pick-up, as long as you don't mind losing Pal Park (Or not being able to play the DS version of Guitar Hero, but come on! If you like Guitar Hero, go buy a console version of it already!).
As for GBA games, if you have those lying around, odds are, you have a GBA somewhere too. Its no difference playing on a GBA or DS using a GBA game, except for the fact that the DS screen looks sorta brighter.
Look at it like this. If you currently own a DS lite and want to make the upgrade, you can either pay the 170 price tag, OR go to gamestop and take advantage of the promotion going on, and trade your lite in for 70 bucks off. If you don't care for the extras, the DS lite cost 120 new.
Of course you can get either used (Though you'll have issues finding an old DSi), but trust me, you don't want to buy a used DS. They can and usually do have issues like sluggish touch screens, that are either barely obvious, or lying in wait to pop out later. Save yourself the hassle/repair cost and get a new one.
So, if you do the trade in, the upgrade will cost you 100 dollars, whereas if you don't own either, you will pay 50 extra for the upgraded version.
Personally, I did the trade in because my white DS was bought used (I payed 80 for it, so I lost 10 bucks trading up, LOL) and it had screen issues. Because it was used, it had no warranty with nintendo, and gamestop only gives a warranty if you buy one. I was gonna replace the screen, but then the DSi came along. At first, I thought it was cheap because of the no GBA slot thing, but once I actually played with one, I fell in love with it, and made the upgrade.
tl;dr DSi is worth it if you can afford it and don't mind losing pal park on your pokemon games.
