my browser now wont recognize me typing in psypokes.com/forums into the address bar anymore! every time I visit the forums I have to type out the whole www. psypokes. com/ forums/ index. php ! Seriously those extra 3 seconds I could've been picking my nose or something.

This seems to be an issue with the hosting site, so there's nothing that can be done directly to fix it at the present moment. Simply change your bookmarks to include the "www." and all should be well. This has already been noted and it being looked into by the administrators.

Yeah, I realized this a few days ago when I clicked my bookmark and it went to the blank page. So I eventually decided to change my bookmark to include the www. Is it in fact a problem with the hosting site? If so, what is the actual problem?

Same here! I always have to type "www" just to get on Psypokes. When I typed psypokes.com, I thought it was just an Internet connection problem.

I'm not sure why, but the two variations of URLs seem to be pointing to different locations; at least that's how it seems. I really can't tell you if or when this will be resolved by hosting, but for now it shouldn't be too huge of an inconvenience for everyone.
Edit: The issue has now been resolved, so there's no need to worry about it any longer.

I've always typed www in every URL I've ever entered. It's just... natural.

I used to too, but 6-years-ago photobucket (HOLY **** THATS A LONG TIME) wouldn't let me access their stupid site without dropping the www. From that moment on I never bothered with the www, and entered a new phase of my life
has anyone got any more childhood stories of the www? I'm sure you guys have got some good stories to share, too, about when you were young and stupid.

I use Opera so Speed Dial eliminates this minor annoyance.
