I was just wondering if anyone else was having this problem or if it was just my computer messing up.
When ever I click on the pokemon that comes onto my screen it disappears as if it is caught but then when I look at my progress, it says that I have not caught any. I have caught at least 7 of them so far but it does not say that I have caught them.
Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm not sure on it myself but maybe if you posted the same question here and you are more likely to get a reliable solution and much quicker.

So they completely disappear when clicked? Do you get the notification popping up after that to tell you that it was successfully caught?
What browser (and version thereof) are you using?

No I don't get any notification at all and my cursor doesn't change into a pokeball either. I'm using Mac OS X btw.

So I assume you're using Safari? What version?

Due to technical limitations (read: Safari's debugger is only marginally more helpful than Internet Explorer's lack of a debugger) I haven't been able to devise a perfect solution to the problem, but at the very least it should now be working on Safari.

I'm getting a similar problem, and I use Opera. The Pokemon appear, but when I catch them, I don't get a notification and when I check the list it says I haven't caught it.

Give me a version and I'll see about testing Opera on my desktop when I get home...

I am a new member to the site, although I have used psypoke for years. I registered yesterday and have not found anything in the psyfari. This could be impatience on my part, but I was wondering if there was a way to check Java, as the site itself is not really useful. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You don't need Java, but your browser does have to support Javascript.
I've personally tested the game with Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Safari so it should be working with any of those. As soon as I hear back about what version of Opera isn't cooperating I can get to work on supporting that as well.

I apologize for my impatience, that was the problem I think. I have no problem anymore but thanks for the help.

I'm using Opera v.10.60, and I get the aforementioned problem (the Pokemon simply disappear and don't count as caught).
It's a nice little game though, so I'd like to see it working for us Opera users too.

Well, I've got the capturing working on Opera now. It's not showing the Pokeball cursor, unfortunately, but the game itself is now working. Opera's Dragonfly debugger needs some serious work IMO - the inability to clear the console and the sheer volume of "errors" it throws over definitions meant for other browsers (and which most other browsers, even IE are able to handle) make trying to debug with it a nightmare.
Let me know if the game still isn't working for you.

It works for me now, thank you.
Too bad Opera is such an ass with things like that, it's very comfortable on the outside.

I have been having instances where a pokemon will appear, but the pokeball cursor will not show up. I am able to catch the pokemon normally, (click on it, i get the capture list, etc.), but after I exit that popup, then the pokeball cursor appears and I am unable to click on any links and have to refresh the screen to fix it. This has happened to me on both IE and Firefox.

I'm unable to reproduce your error, but I've added a final cleanup sweep to closing the popup all the same. Let me know if it makes a difference.
