I prefer describing attacks rather than saying what the attack is so is this acceptible?

Aside from the fact that that post would be godmoding, Undead, that wouldn't be a problem. Just don't get graphic about it- no spewing blood or anything.

No romances? No blood? I can understand no blood spewing out in gallons but none? And what if I wanted to put a romance in? [size=0]Where's Tawnystar when you need her...[/size]

Now, I'm no veteran member of this board in particular, but I am a member of many Roleplays. Honestly! An APPLICATION FORM? Don't you think that's going a bit far? I realize not every member can be trusted, but this is still a democracy. I can understand having to JOIN a roleplay as in "here is my profile" but this is too far.

It's amazing how people just can't trust one another nowadays. :roll: As you can see I strongly disagree with the way you are running this forum.

Who said no romance? The term I usually use is "nothing not present in a Disney animated classic", and there is most definately romance in those. We're not going to lock or disapprove your roleplay because your character has a boy/girlfriend, but if you do anything more than lightly imply anything beyond first base actions will be taken. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned blood once or twice in my roleplaying posts, too, just don't go overboard.

Essentially, the what not to do in a roleplay rules should be plain old common sense, given that you all know there may be kids around. A good writer can imply a lot without forcing it on younger roleplayers or others who really don't want to read that kind of thing.

Rocket admin, that was really unnecessary. This application section is not here because Sneak and I want to turn down all your ideas that we don't like- in practice, I doubt we'll ever have to reject any serious ideas. Because roleplaying thread creators are being given the opportunity to be demi-mods of their own threads, we don't want lots of threads being created by people who will then just abandon them. This process will force potential threadmasters to wait a little, and think a little about what their game is about before starting.

Now if you want to debate the necessity of this topic, use the separate sticky written where we have asked for your imput. If you want to personally flame moderators for their decisions, then find another forum.

Yes, even mods have to submit a form for an RP, but I don't mind. It makes things much more organized. Of course, this means I have to wait for Gryph's approval, since I cannot approve my own.

Name of RP: Stewart's New Adventures
Roleplay Genre: The Super Mario Bros. Games.
Plot: After Stewart and the other Chosen Ones defeated the 3 Golems to fulfill the prophecy, the God of Life, Ifel, gave Stewart a chance to return to Earth and restore his humanity. Stewart had a diffiuclt time deciding, so Ifel had an idea. She created a special necklace that when Stewart wore it, he transformed into a Yoshi. He returned to Earth, and lived normally for about 4 months, at least until Ifel contacted him via dreams, telling him he needed to come back, that he needed to save the day once again. Little did he know what he was up against, and the new friends he'd meet on the way to triumph.
Setting: Mushroom Kingdom, and nearby areas of the Video Game Dimension.
Additional Rules: My character a unique ability, his ability is pretty much similar to "waterbending" based on the show "Avatar". Although it's frowned upon, you may if you like, play as one of the chosen ones. Just PM me which power you want (Look at Chapter FIVE of my story), and I'll tell you which character you are.

Now I have to wait for Gryph...

Approved, Sneak, but make sure you include others in the game as much as your own character, so others will have fun too If he has special powers, don't frown on other good roleplayers having special powers too

Plot (cont.): It seems several of the Chosen Ones have opened up an academy to train other Yoshis so that they have the power too. Only a few have enough spititual energy to even barely use their powers; that is why they continue training with the Chosen Ones. However, there is one Yoshi who has a different power than everyone else, the power of Steel. Now Bowser wants to control him with an Evil-Mind-Ray. Will he succeed? Or will he be stopped? Only time will tell...

I was going to add this, but I kinda forgot about it, until now at least.

Setting: Semi-magical medieval-ish kingdom: some have magic, some don't; forests, mountains, castles, etc.; dragons, fairies, dryads, etc.

Plot: nothing too major in mind...maybe a treasure hunt or something

Other Rules: One type of magic or "special ability" only.
As much as I love Pokemon, no Pokemon unless you can really make it fit.

This is an RP I plan to start, but I won't be able to for about a month. The main reason I'm applying for it now is so that I don't forget

Roleplay Name: Mysteries RP
Roleplay Genre: A mystery sort of thing, also a competition.

Setting: A big, spooky mansion on a mountainside.

Plot: A maid has been murdered in this mansion. Several guests (the players of this RP) were staying here becasue of a large storm, so now they are all suspects of the crime. It is their job to solve the mystery.

Additional Rules: This RP will be played slightly differently to most, so I will explain most of it here. Firstly, I will be the one who sets up the situation and clues in the beginning, which may involve some godmoding, but it will be necessary. Secondly, this RP will be divided into rounds, so a player who is online more often will not get an unfair advantage. Each move the player makes will take a certain amount of rounds. For example, moving to another room will take one turn. When you arrive at a room you will get a free description of the room. In the next round you will be allowed to move to a different room or inspect the room you are currently in. The main objective of this RP is to find out who committed the murder and why.

I will be playing a character in the RP, but I will not be one of the detectives. I will be the one who prompts people to find clues, and I will also be the one who makes up any event that may happen.

When deciding the murderer in this RP, whoever wants to be the killer will PM me, and I will decide if they will be the one. If they are selected I will send them the details of the mystery so they will be able to play to their fullest extent. When applying for the role of murderer, you may not tell other players that you have applied, or if you've been refused or accepted, so as to keep the secrecy of the murderer unaffected.

I understand that the violence in this RP might be of speculation, but please understand that the most violence there will be is a few bloodstains here and there, nothing gory.
