Since I was like six at the time, and thought that the world revolved around me, I cried and turned it off. Then I gave it back to my brother and said, "Your Venusaur sucks. It died." Also, my username is Samurott. Crappy fully-evolved grass type starters are like my weakness. Exception being and , who are not crappy. Meganium isn't the greatest either, but it is better than Serperior and way better than... Umm... Umm... Uhhhh... *Falls asleep. Ten minutes later* Oh. Where was I? Oh. Yeah. Better than Venusaur. So awesome enough that his base form was automatically granted two types by default. No other starter shares this trait. And with sporting an immunity to both Toxic AND Leech Seed - while being able to fire off himself - he's easily the most devastating Pokemon in RBY. He just stands there and lols at you as he whittles your health away to nothing in a scant 3 turns.

Regardless of what the Admins say, I still hate Venusaur. If it wasnt for Blastoise, I never wouldve started playing pokemon.

I'm not sure how I can top what Samurott's been saying; he's obviously the biggest Venusaur fan in the Pokeverse! All I can say is this-- When I got LeafGreen and my brother got FireRed, he would always brag about his Charizard (we each chose the versions' mascots). I would silently fume and train my Venusaur and wait for the day we got the cable or adapters we needed to trade and battle. The day came, and he was bragging about type effectiveness, moves, and other things. He landed a flamethrower and depleted my health quite a bit, but after a sleep powder, multiple Swords Dances (thank you mr. tutor man), a few SSynthesises to heal, and then double edge to put that sorry fire lizard out of it's misery.
I know, weak compared to Samurott's unending love, but still.

Regardless of what your story is, there is my view and your. In RBY, Venusaur was nerfed up. Blastoise had an arsenal of fighting, normal, water, and other moves at its diposal. Venusaur didnt have that advantage. Besides, a plant?

Venusaur is OU. Blastoise is not.

The only other starters that have been OU in recent history are Infernape and Swampert, the latter of whom was forced out due to Gastrodon.
