Well, a friend and I had a debate of Blastoise vs. Venusaur, and i won, because I'm a master debater (sorry, couldnt resist). But, since he made such a great point, I'll try out Bulbasaur's line in Blue. Until I finish it, my resolve to this issue is unchanged.

Chikorita is at a disadvantage in almost every Gym and against a good portion of the E4. How exactly is that the "beginner" option?
