Starters are such a pain to breed with only a 12% chance to get a female!

I've managed to get a female solar power while breeding my male and female solar power unfortunately the same can't be said about my magician fenekins all the hidden ability ones are male. right now I'm working on getting hidden ability from my hidden ability then rain dish once I catch a female . also ace your third pokemon is braixen. I've managed to get a female bullet proof chespin.

Males can pass the ability now assuming the female is of the same species, not sure about with ditto though.

I will say this, however, it has been much easier getting Max IVs than in previous generations. That Destiny Knot has been brilliant!

Yes it is, but the problem of getting the RIGHT maxed Ivs still remains.

unfortunately I have reached 100 friends already and my brother ran off with my other 3ds and my copy of X. otherwise I would be adding more people.

Breeding hidden ability pokemon with a Ditto passes on the hidden ability regardless of the gender.



Friend Safari pokemon always have 2 perfect IVs, just catch enough of them (or even better, catch Dittos in the Safari) and you'll get the right IVs to pass on eventually.

That's roughly what I did, although I don't have access to a Ditto Safari. So what I did was I caught a bunch of Braixen and traded them for level thirty Ditto on the GTS, testing them for IVs, and then trading repeats with dissatisfactory natures for new dittos, until I had a ditto for each combination. Growlithe worked too. Between this collection and the new function of the Destiny Knot, it really is much easier to breed for IVs.

Do you go by Creeper? If so, you have a Grass-type safari, with Sunkern and Petilil in it. For some reason, it's not offering me a third pokemon, even though we've already met.
