well if you're gonna evolve it the moveset would prob change
@ brightpowder
sunny day
psychic
hidden power (fire)
morning sun
if you don't have gameshark and getting a maximum power fire hidden power is too annoying try:
@ brightpowder
attract
swagger
psych up
baton pass
its annoying and u can b-p the raised attack stat to a phys. sweeper
for umbreon i like:
@ leftovers
mean look
toxic
double-team
baton pass
this is just a standard trapper evader with baton pass in the mix so you can keep the opponent on the field while you switch freely and control the type advantage.

can someone help me pick the best moves for my blastoise?
i don't know what role he should play either whether he is a tank or a drainer. one of those kind of roles. Any suggestions are appreciated.
thank you

the type of blastoise you want really has to depend on the other members of your team. since the game is really about creating the best team and not having just great solo pokemon, its really better if you can post the members and movesets of the other pokemon you want in this team.
but u can't really go wrong with this set anyhows:
@ mint berry/leftovers
surf
icebeam
earthquake
rest/haze
mixed sweeper that alternatively can be used as a hazer.
just out of curiosity, how do you presume blastoise can be a drainer?? it doesn't seem to have any "draining" moves.

oh i didn't think he was a drainer lol i was just using those names as an example of the different roles. thank you very much for the help. i appreciate it.

ok here is my team so far
lvl 40 @ bright powder (trying to get lucky egg to level up)
~swift~ (later to be replaced with T-bolt)
~ice punch~
~fire punch~
~thunder punch~
lvl 45 @ nevermeltice (yeah thats right, 45, i got it through mew glitch)
~fly~
~ice beam~
~peck~
~mind reader~
lvl 43 @ bright powder
~HP psychic~ (yay!)
~rock slide~
~sandstorm~ (later EQ)
~bite~ (soon crunch)
lvl 42 @ bright powder
~surf~
~gust~
~bubble beam~
~roar~
(need help on suicune)
lvl 100 @ king's rock
~morning sun~
~psychic~
~bite~
~shadow ball~
lvl 100 @ lefties
~shadow ball~
~bite~
~iron tail~
~psychic~
i prefer to use pokemon as sweepers most of the time and also please notice that this is my GOLD team and any moves like baton pass on my umbreon/espeon are not going to happen because my crystal version is lost/gone (cant remember which...) and i am not going to breed them and reraise them from lvl 5 just because i dont want to spend my break on that... also does anyone have a good tip for getting the right chansey with lucky egg? other than extremely good luck?

I'm not a rater, but I'd want to be a GSC rater, and nobody rates GSC sets anymore, so I'll try to fill the void.
lvl 40 @ bright powder (trying to get lucky egg to level up) (try to get the other set of lefties so Electabuzz can use them)
~swift~ (later to be replaced with T-bolt)
~ice punch~
~fire punch~
~thunder punch~
Get T-bolt on there ASAP. Lose Thunderpunch for T-wave (RBY TM). Lose fire punch for Psychic.
lvl 45 @ Leftovers (yeah thats right, 45, i got it through mew glitch)
~fly~
~ice beam~
~peck~
~mind reader~
It'll be better because of the training but dear god, the moveset. Lose fly, it's a bad move, put Reflect on instead. Bubblebeam instead of Peck, and Roar(GSC TM)/Whirlwind (RBY TM) instead of Mind Reader. Item powerups are bad, they only power up by 10%
lvl 43 @ bright powder
~HP psychic~ (yay!)
~rock slide~
~sandstorm~ (later EQ)
~bite~ (soon crunch)
Lose Sandstorm for EQ and it looks OK. Crunch it learns at level 61.
lvl 42 @ Kings Rock
~surf~
~gust~
~bubble beam~
~roar~
Bubblebeam should be replaced with Ice Beam, and Gust with Mirror Coat.
(need help on suicune)
lvl 100 @ king's rock
~morning sun~
~psychic~
~bite~
~shadow ball~
Lose Shadow Ball for Attract/Toxic. Trust me on this one.
lvl 100 @ lefties
~shadow ball~
~bite~
~iron tail~
~psychic~
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Toxic,Bite/Faint Attack,Mean Look, Rest are what should be on here. You better have Stadium 2 for the move rememberer, it's going to be needed. Umbreon is not a sweeper. It's a tank.
i prefer to use pokemon as sweepers most of the time and also please notice that this is my GOLD team and any moves like baton pass on my umbreon/espeon are not going to happen because my crystal version is lost/gone (cant remember which...) and i am not going to breed them and reraise them from lvl 5 just because i dont want to spend my break on that... also does anyone have a good tip for getting the right chansey with lucky egg? other than extremely good luck?
You're going to need a lot of luck for a lucky egg. When you get one, duplicate it.

thanks for the help, the hp psychic is for fighting types (tyrannitar would have a 4x weakness to them) and unfortunately no i dont have pokemon stadium so the move rememberer cant be used. thanks for the help on suicune though, i have never caught him (excet on crystal, which i cant stand...) so i had no clue what to give him

There are a few more things I'd like to say mew/articuno lover.
1. I've now edited my post to include alternate items for them to hold.
2. That's too bad, here's an alternate Umbreon set:
Swagger (TM 34 GSC)
Psych Up (TM 09, GSC, trade an Abra from RBY)
Return/Shadow ball
Mean Look (learns at 42, but you kinda deleted it methinks so use rest, but they'll keep switching though)
Swagger 3 times, then Psych Up, then cause hell with Return/Shadow Ball as your attack will skyrocket. If they lose confusion status, Swagger again. Rest when HP gets low. Mean look would stop switching.
Item: Leftovers
I hope I helped.

It's in the Olivine Lighthouse, I'm not sure whether you take the normal route or the route you take to get to the Ampharos though.

Here's mine, ingame just so you know. And I can shark stuff so... yeah.
@ Leftovers
-fury cutter
-agility
-quick attack
-metal claw
A fun little guy I made up a while ago, he can kick some butt
@ Leftovers
-Flamethrower
-thunderpunch
-surf
-earthquake
A pure nothing here but strong attacks, I might replace surf with snore and give him rest instead of earthquake.
@ Leftovers
-Earthquake
-Crunch
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
He can kick some butt with an annoying health supply move.
@ Leftovers
-Sunny Day
-Solarbeam
-Earthquake
-Razor Leaf
@ Leftovers
-Surf
-Body Slam
-Attract
-Bite
Vicious one, my only female starter, it was traded.
@ Leftovers
-Hypnosis
-Dream Eater
-Curse
-Amnesia
Really annoying guy to fight and one of my tougher ones.
Okay, rate away, and please, be harsh.

I was wondering if you could figure something out with this Kabutops I got (hold item, move ect.) It would be cool if you could.
Kabutops
Ice Beam
Giga Drain
Surf
Slash
What would you guys do?
Wait Eswin! Do you have or know someone with a crystal version? If you do, raise an Eevee up to level 36, Eevee will learn Baton Pass natuarlly. Then, you can either raise to an umbreon there or trade it over (you'll lose overall EXP. though if you do...). You won't lose any of the moves you wanted either. Cool, eh?
A fun little guy I made up a while ago, he can kick some butt
Fury Cutter, Quick Attack and Metal Claw aren't too good, I'd suggest the Baton passer,
@ Brightpowder/Leftovers
Baton Pass
Agility
Swords Dance
Slash/Steel Wing/HP Rock
This set allows you to Pass Agility and Swords Dance to a Physical Sweeper, HP Rock is there to counter Fires, if you Swords Dance and Agility, you have a Chance to OHKO a Fire Poke.
@ Leftovers
-Flamethrower
-thunderpunch
-surf
-earthquake
A pure nothing here but strong attacks, I might replace surf with snore and give him rest instead of earthquake.
Standard, give him Sunny Day over Surf
@ Leftovers
-Earthquake
-Crunch
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
He can kick some butt with an annoying health supply move.
Put Rock Slide over Sleep Talk, Sleep Talk may seem like a good idea, but sometimes it'll use rest, so you may be asleep the whole battle.
@ Leftovers
-Sunny Day
-Solarbeam
-Earthquake
-Razor Leaf
Sunny Day - Solarbeam isn't too good on this one, Try Swords Dance, HP Rock, EQ and Body Slam/Rest for it.
@ Leftovers
-Surf
-Body Slam
-Attract
-Bite
Vicious one, my only female starter, it was traded.
I see you like sharking moves, personally I don't think it's a good idea, unless you're going against someone who does. Try the Physical Sweeper,
@ Leftovers
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Curse
Rest/Attract/Toxic
@ Leftovers
-Hypnosis
-Dream Eater
-Curse
-Amnesia
Really annoying guy to fight and one of my tougher ones.
Hypnosis/Dream Eater combo doesn't work too good, because of accuracy,
Try the annoyer with, Mean Look, Curse/Toxic, Confuse Ray and Rest.
I bet you'll have fun with it
Okay, rate away, and please, be harsh.
Sorry I don't know how to be harsh
I'll probably only rate when a team goes unrated for more than a week.

I'd do something like Swords Dance, Ancientpower, Body Slam and HP Ground/HP Bug/HP Flying/Submission.
Kabutops as a Special Sweeper = Don't work well
Kabutops was made for Physical Sweeping not Special Sweeping.
Also you have to teach this poke Swords Dance and Body Slam, before you let it learn Ancientpower and Hidden Power.
