Setting: Semi-magical medieval-ish kingdom: some have magic, some don't; forests, mountains, castles, etc.; dragons, fairies, dryads, etc.

Plot: nothing too major in mind...maybe a treasure hunt or something

Other Rules: One type of magic or "special ability" only.
As much as I love Pokemon, no Pokemon unless you can really make it fit.
Non-human characters are fine, but I have to OK them first.

Nice, typical Med/Fan, Anade, sounds good. Just be prepared to deal with a lot of players- you'll need to keep a close eye on it. You're still new to Psypoke, so make sure you're willing to stick with it before beginning.

Roleplay Name: The Merlin Academy
Roleplay Genre: Modern fantasy

Setting: A Hogwartsesque school for mages in modern day Britain.

Plot:
The Merlin academy in Great Britain is well known throughout the country and the world. It's a very exclusive British public boarding school; so exclusive that you have to be invited to come, instead of applying like a normal public school. Rumor has it tuition is remarkably low, or even nonexistent, because dozens of multimillionaire alumni are always making extravagant donations.

Students are chosen for the Merlin academy from all walks of life. Apparently the academy's scouts in the state school system have a knack for spotting greatness, even when the student in question is doing poorly in classes. Parents have been know to try all sorts of things to get their kids into the academy, but no one knows what the selection process is really based on.

For their first week of classes at the Merlin academy, new students have no idea what the fuss is about. Certainly, the professors are top-notch, and the facilities are marvelous, but the school isn't much different from your ordinary expensive public school. During this week, a few students are usually sent home- either due to "poor grades" or "behavior problems".

At the end of the first week, the remaining first year students are all gathered in the assembly hall for an initiation ceremony. It's school tradition, they're told, but little do they know it will change their lives forever.

Each student is given a candle, and they are told to light it. Of course, there's always the usual smart aleck who asks for matches, but they're quickly hushed with a demonstration from one of the professors, who lights a candle with only a moment's concentration.

One by one, the students pull off the same feat, lighting their candles by force of will alone. Over the next few days, the real wonders of the school are explained to them: it's a school for mages, people capable of manipulating matter, time and probability to create magic-like effects.

If you understand something completely, they are told, right down to the subatomic level, then you can control it completely. Mages have the innate ability to completely understand and manipulate matter, without having to consciously examine every part of it. Powerful mages can extend this control of space into space-time, traveling millions of light-years in an instant, or less.

But students at the Merlin academy, much to their dismay, don't get cool classes like "transfiguration" or "defence against the dark arts", although fifth year calculus does border on arithmancy. Magecraft, not to be confused with magic, is hard work, and it's tied in with the science curriculum so tightly it's near impossible to distinguish the two. Other classes also use and teach magecraft aspects, such as matter calculations in maths class and spell writing in English.

And aside from hard work, magecraft can also be dangerous. The universe is an innately chaotic place, and mages attract said chaos. Points of extreme disturbance of time, space and probability, called "paradoxes", are prone to appearing in mage-heavy areas, especially in the school auditorium. The professors and staff are all highly skilled mages, trained to deal with such anomalies, but it sometimes falls to the student body to control paradoxes until the professors arrive.

There's also a second issue, and one that's only recently become a problem. New students capable of magic are put through rigorous psychological testing to insure that graduates won't turn "evil" and use their magic to cause harm. Those that fail said tests are sent back home during the first week, without being told who and what they are, but unbeknownst to the Council of Mages, a group of these rejected students have discovered their powers on their own, and have created a small "school" of their own, taking in dejected and often mentally unstable young mages and training them to help serve their own purposes. In the world of humans, a little bit of magic goes a long way, and this group has begun to earn its self some serious political and economic power. Unlike the Council, however, they can be somewhat less than subtle in their techniques.

With the centuries old secret of Magecraft threatening to go public, a new generation of mages has to deal with secret societies, memory spells, paradoxes and bad press, along with the usual rigors of highschool.

I know there are alot of medival fantasy rps being started, but I kind of want to start my own. It's based on the Fire Emblem games, what with magic, dragons, swords, etc. There's all sorts of classes (and if you've played either of the 2 Fire Emblem games released in the U.S., you'd know them right off the bat.) Everyone starts out as a basic class, such as a mercenary, mage, archer, etc., and then once they have experinced enough in the RP, they can change classes (a.k.a. class upgrade). The catch is that not only do you have to have experieced alot in that class, you need an item that allows you to change classes. I'll give an example here.

Let's say you're a Thief. Let's also say that you've been on alot of adventures, fought tons of creatures, etc etc etc. And then you find an Ocean Seal emblem, which allows you to change classes. Here's the choices for you.

Now, let's move on. The magic types that can be used are Anima, Light, and Dark. There are also classes that can use Healing Staves. The magic types each have a strentgh and a weakness.

Now, does this sound like a reasonable RP?

I'm a little suspicious about letting you start a roleplay immediately, SCG. You don't seem to have taken too much time with your application, since there seem to be formatting mistakes in it, and you originally created a game without reading the stickies. The idea sounds nice, but please spend a little longer getting to know Psypoke and its roleplaying environment before creating your own game.

Setting:Mediveil Kanto, Jhoto, Hoenn

Plot:This is a roleplay of life in mediveil pokemon world. Things like Knights, Samurai, Ninja etc. But instead of war, they have pokemon battles. This is mostly an open RP though. I may add side quests

Additional Rules:No Legendaries can be used at the moment.
No fighting each other with bloody and gory seens. This has to stay PG.
No Godmoding.
No starting to rp without my approval.
Starting late is fine, but make sure you follow the current plot.
No starting with fully evolved lvl 100 pokemon. The highest you can start from is lvl 20.

And that sounds pretty nifty, Sanctum101, and should attract a fair number of people. Make sure you have the time to keep up with it, of course, but feel free to create it

Roleplay Name: War of the Elements

Roleplay Genre: Fire Emblem Series

Setting: The continent of Magvel.

Plot: Magvel is a large continent containing 6 kingdoms. All of the kingdoms have been living together in peace until one day a magical stone had been found by the Grado kingdom. It was an elemental stone, one of six. It had granted amazing powers, which Grado began to use to gain power. The other kingdoms are in a tiffy over this. Is Grado becoming too powerful?

Rules: You can create a character that can hail from any of the 6 kingdoms. Your choose from 14 beginning classes for your character, and you can upgrade your class eventually. You must be fair, and not be an almighty fighter that always emerges unscathed. Also, all other basic RP rules apply, such as no godmodding. Give people a chance to react, and don't get ahead of yourself.

I think that covers it all... if this gets the "official sneaky_sneasel/gryphflame seal of approval", I'll have even more details on stuff such as classes.

Roleplay Genre: FreeForm/Modern

Setting: A modern-type tavern on the corner of a city street.

Plot: Owned by Mixer (Psypoke ID: Soundboard), the Gateway Tavern is a place where everybody is welcome despite what they are, where or when they're from, or what they do for a living. Many different things occur, and the storyline goes out beyond the tavern sometimes.

Additional Rules:

Respect each other's characters.
No killing (Mixer gets mad at murderers, and is a cop.)
Keep out of character talk to a minimum, and always bracket it.

Soundboard seems to have at least paid attention to the criteria for an RP, Blaze. True he's (or she's...sorry, Soundboard, I wasn't sure) fairly new, but I was pretty new when I started my RP. One of the main reasons ShinyCharizardGal wasn't allowed to create hers was because she just copy-and-pasted and left too many things undone on her application. So, I think Soundboard's RP has a chance.

"New " shouldn't be the case for either members. They filled out the application, if the application is there and filled out, there shouldn't be any problem. It's kind of prejudice to not let new memebrs make an RP, or could it be better explained as stereotyping?

Roleplay Genre:... fun?

Setting: The day care in Hoenn because it looks the nicest.

Plot: We play as [not-so-strong] Pokemon that were left in the day care and strengthen each other by battling and things like that. Hopefully that's not it, but I don't know what else will happen because it hasn't started. This was originally trainers that worked there, but I realized there wouldn't be much interaction that way.

Additional Rules:
- no godmoding, power playing, ect.
- no being a legendary or another strong pokemon that wouldn't be in the day care
- you can be a shiny if you want to - whatever floats your boat
- use the ooc, ic, or ((insert words here)) labels for out of character talking
- I think that's it, besides no being a secret Team Evil member that can turn into a Tropious and take over the day care, then making everyone mindless robots and taking over the world... Uh, right...

You said that she was not approved because her application had no time spent into it, and it was full of formatting errors. Mine is not full of formatting errors, and I have previously run this same RP on chat networks that have been shut down. Before the networks were shut down, I had run "The Gateway Tavern" for 8 years. I've been trying to find a new place to base it, but I haven't been successful yet.
